Please avoid booking banquets from Shyamal Das (Banquet name- SHIVAM BANQUET; he's a certified scammer. Address- (Hanskhali Pool, 14 shantinagar, 1st By Ln, Shantinagar North, Bakultala, Podara, Mourigram, Howrah, West Bengal 711109) Explanation of the whole incident- Hello everyone, today I'm going to share a scam incident I recently experienced involving Mr. Shyamal Das (Shivam bhavan owner beside khal, hanskhalipole), Shyamal is an ex-CRPF member who returned to his hometown and ventured into various businesses. Let me narrate the incident. In March 2024, we booked a banquet hall named "Shivam Bhavan," owned by Shyamal Das, at Hanskhalipole for my sister's wedding reception on May 5th. On our visit to inspect the venue, despite its bad location(near khal/khal facing banquet) and condition, we paid a token amount of INR 10,000 due to its proximity to our ancestral place. Shyamal noted down our requirements and assured us that upon receiving the full payment, he would generate the final bill. He requested an advance payment of 10000, stating that no bills would be issued for this. During our first visit, he clearly stated that, if we wish to cancel the event, we need to inform him 20-30 days prior. He mentioned deducting INR 2,000 and refunding the rest of the advance, emphasizing that this was his BANQUET’s policy, UNLIKE other BANQUETs. We were satisfied with this arrangement. Unfortunately, due to rescheduling, the reception was moved to Odisha, rendering the Hanskhalipole's Shivam Bhavan unnecessary. Upon informing Shyamal and requesting the refund, he initially agreed to return it after May 5th, as the reception was to be held on that day. However, when approached again on May 5th, he claimed to lack funds in his account, giving various excuses for not returning the money. It's perplexing that someone who ventured into high-investment businesses post-retirement has no funds in his account. Despite this, we persisted in requesting our refund, only to be met with excuses and eventually, Shyamal refused to return us back the money. It's not just about the INR 8,000 scammed by Mr. Shyamal Das; we earn far more, but every penny is the result of hard work. It's disheartening that Shyamal gas made false commitments initially just to get the advance payment, Also, later advised us to file a police case against him, but he mentioned very clearly that he won’t be returning back the money he took from us. To everyone reading this, please avoid booking banquet from Shyamal Das (Banquet name- SHIVAM BANQUET)This Banquet owner is a certified scammer. Youtube videos will be added shortly.
