My husband and I had a small civil ceremony in the USA during COVID, but it didn't quite feel complete. I had always dreamed of a traditional Hindu wedding, yet I didn't feel like a "new" bride since we had already been living together. So, I decided to host a reunion-celebration-wedding of sorts, with our closest friends and family. That's when I discovered Rohet Garh – a stunning heritage property that preserved much of its original charm and architecture. The rooms were uniquely styled, the venue spaces offered a variety of beautiful settings, and the food was exceptional. The owners and the general manager were incredibly hands-on, helping with everything from decor coordination and music to sourcing local vendors. It truly felt like a labor of love from everyone involved. We hosted our Sangeet as a shikaar-themed dinner in the heart of the desert, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience that our guests still talk about to this day. It was unlike anything they’d ever encountered before. The food was exceptional, with every dish surpassing expectations. The chef went above and beyond, personally serving my husband and me at the reception when we were among the last to eat, ensuring we felt special. On the day of the wedding, we treated our guests to a traditional Rajasthani lunch, and the flavors were unforgettable. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our celebration. The hospitality throughout our entire experience was equally remarkable. The staff’s warmth and kindness truly touched our hearts. They greeted every guest with a bright smile, folded hands, and a sincere ‘Khamma Ghani,’ making everyone feel welcome and valued. All in all, Rohet Garh was the perfect place to host our celebration, and I wouldn’t hesitate to choose it again if I had to do it all over.
