The Haldiram Banquet Hall, VIP, presents a mix of positives and negatives that can significantly impact the experience of hosting an event there. While it offers certain conveniences, several operational and management issues make it a challenging venue for clients. Positives: 1. Managerial Support: Akash Ranjan, the banquet manager, is the shining star of this venue. His professionalism, pleasant demeanor, and constant support are highly commendable. However, his influence is limited as he is employed by OYO, while Haldiram runs the venue operations. 2. Accessible Location: The banquet's location is convenient and easily reachable for guests, a major plus for events involving extensive travel. 3. Adequate Parking: The availability of parking space is a thoughtful addition, sparing guests the hassle of finding parking in a crowded area. 4. Spacious Venue: With the capacity to accommodate 300 guests and the inclusion of two functional rooms for storage and makeup, the banquet hall is spacious and versatile. 5. Cleanliness: The housekeeping staff deserve recognition for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the venue is tidy during events. Negatives: 1. Operational Mismanagement: Since Haldiram manages operations, Akash Ranjan has minimal control, making it difficult to address client concerns effectively. 2. Unfulfilled Promises: Commitments made during booking, such as new curtains, were not honored. Shockingly, no curtains were provided at all, leaving clients to manage without basic aesthetics. 3. Substandard Maintenance: The venue's upkeep is poor, with torn upholstery and chair covers requiring constant follow-ups for correction. 4. Vendor Issues: A last-minute change in the empaneled decoration vendor disrupted plans significantly. The new vendor rejected the previously agreed Bengali wedding theme, leaving the client scrambling for alternatives. 5. Neglected Infrastructure: The venue appears neglected by Haldiram, with outdated curtains, ACs, cupboards, and chairs that diminish the overall ambiance. 6. Decor Failures: Even after agreeing to additional payments, the new vendor failed to deliver 75% of the promised modifications, resulting in a disappointing execution of the Bengali wedding theme. Conclusion: While Haldiram Banquet Hall, VIP, benefits from a great location, decent facilities, and stellar support from Akash Ranjan, the mismanagement by Haldiram and their lack of attention to detail severely undermine the experience. It is evident that the banquet is not a priority for Haldiram, and the neglect reflects in the poor infrastructure, unreliable vendor arrangements, and unmet promises. Recommendation: Haldiram should either cease operating this banquet hall to save clients from the stress and disappointment or hand over complete management to OYO, where professionals like Akash Ranjan can take charge and transform the experience into a seamless one.

It is a really fine restaurant with courteous staff members, and since it is on VIP Road, it is undoubtedly well linked. The interiors are clean and well-maintained.
