I had my wedding at Mukta on the 27th and 28th of March. Although the venue is spectacular, the management and the owner were extremely painful to work with. I do not recommend this venue. When we booked the venue, not all the things discussed were on paper. Around the wedding month, some of the amenities we had discussed suddenly became paid amenities at extra cost. I’d recommend noting down everything on paper when dealing with this management. We had both positive and negative experiences with decor. The decor for our events was beautiful. The Muhurtham mantap and the decor were especially beautiful. It definitely enhanced our Muhurtham experience. However, other parts of the decor did not go well, which added to the chaos on the days of the wedding. On the wedding day, we had terrible mismanagement. To start, the venue was booked from 3 PM but was not available to us until 4:30 PM. This disrupted all the events we had planned that day. The decor on this day was also not complete until 7:45 PM, which was supposed to be done by 5 PM. The decor was complete after our event ended. Then, we asked for extra beds that we had mentioned multiple times and had asked for confirmations on the same. This was confirmed by the management. On the day, there were no extra beds and we had to call and remind the manager about the beds. We were interacting with Anukya in Decor and Gowri in Finance. The next day morning is the second part of terrible mismanagement. At 5 AM, we started the day with no hot water. At 5:30 AM, this turned into no water at all in the entire venue. This includes the bride and groom’s rooms and the guest houses. To keep up with the time, we had to leave the venue and book a hotel room to use the bathroom. The disappointing part here is the venue managers, Zamir and Upendra, did not answer or respond to our calls during this mess. We were left to scramble and figure out things on our own with no response from anyone. For the reception, we had asked for extra VIP round tables to be set up. This was never set up for the reception, which we realized after the event ended. When we spoke to the owner, Vasu Udupa, about all these issues, this interaction was the most disappointing and frustrating experience. The owner did not own up to any of the issues mentioned here, including the lack of water. When asked about how the high price for the venue is justified for such a disappointing experience, the owner did not hesitate to threaten us saying he “knows” how to get what he wants. There was no sense of professionalism but only rowdyism involved in this response. The venue is 5 stars but it’s not worth it to deal with the owner and the management. When we pay 10s of lakhs of rupees for a venue, the least we can expect is professional and not get treated like we are getting robbed. Our entire family does not recommend this venue.
