We spoke to a lot of photographers- I somehow felt a good connect with Sam Da (Samiul Haque of Chhobighar) and decided to get them on board. My only briefing to them was that I did not want those typical mushy pictures. I wanted something classy- the artsy kinds
Venues
It was by sheer luck that we stumbled upon this property in Pathankot while we were on our way back to Delhi. This is a wedding resort but the arrangements are fabulous. The rooms are modern with branded furniture and fittings. The lawn is very very well maintained and the food was spectacular. They helped us with the decor (tweaked a lot of stuff when we told them to) and the wedding menu was the most elaborate one I have seen in my life. We were pleasantly surprised to see that unlike most other wedding venues, the quality of food was maintained throughout.
Invitations
She such a sweetheart to work with. Very responsive and very creative. We loved the designs she showed us. They were all very creative and quirky.
Groom Wear
My fiance did not want to spend on a Sherwani at all! It was after much coaxing and crying on my part that he agreed to at least pick something up from Manyavar. We are usually not a big fan of blingy stuff. So, Manyavar was just perfect for us. They had a lot of sherwanis that were simple and elegant and not overtly expensive.
Bridal Wear
I got my Wedding lehenga from Asiana Couture. Their craftsmanship and quality is by far one of the superior-most in Chandni Chowk and they have a HUGE collection too! I like subtlety and my first job was to find stores that kept classy designs and did not compromise on the quality. Finally, I found ?the one? that gave me that special bridal feeling and I said yes to the dress! The lehenga I selected was called Maurya and it was in muted red with antique zardosi and dabka work.
Cinema/Video
He did my pre-wedding shoot and the pics look magical. I am waiting for my wedding video with bated breath now! Very very creative young guy.
Jewellery
My Wedding set was made of polki and and pearls and had an antique finish. I somehow could not find matching maang tika and nath with the set. So, I decided to give Preeti Mohan a try and they made me a customised maang tika to go with my neckpiece.
Jewellery
I decided to pick this beautiful neckpiece along with a pair of earrings from Amrapali to wear on my wedding day. The entire set was made of polki and and pearls and had an antique finish.
