Photographers
We had a great experience working with Yogi and his team, extremely professional and they make you feel comfortable with the camera. The result of this comfort is amazing pictures due to his extremely talented team. We did miss out on a few crucial things like my family portraits and Tarush's interview, but that can also be contributed to the scarcity of time given to them.
Venues
After visiting lots of different resorts and properties across North India, we chose Ananta for its sheer beauty, the Balinese architecture, luxury rooms and preparedness for weddings. We were looking for a property where we could host all of our 400 guests at one place, was picturesque, had good food & service, Ananta was all of this and more. The amphitheatre at The Ananta just blew our mind and we were sure that this is where we wanted to get married. The different terrains & the good rooms of the resort also made sure we had enough setups for photographs. During the wedding time too, Ananta gave us the best service and tried their best to accommodate our requests.
Decorators
Our entire wedding theme was floral and the functions, outfits, invites, etc were all based on a floral undernote. Our wedding invite & logo used the lotus in different variations. The first function was a day Mehendi where we had a pink & green tassels decor reflecting the colours of the Lotus. We organized live choodi making, kite flying and chaat counters for people to settle in and have fun. The next function was a traditional Godhbharai function followed by our Sagai (engagement) and Sangeet. The theme for this night was shimmer night and the decor was accordingly, the colours were of light reflected on a Lotus at night. We fell in love with the silver tassel look and contrasting blue furniture. The day of the wedding, Tarush & I both had different Haldi functions and we both choose the traditional decor for this auspicious ceremony in yellow and greens with the use of fresh flowers. The wedding was supposed to be a sunset wedding with many tiny annotations of the lotus in the decor. The mandap was like a version of the Banaras ghat with the canopy and red and goldwork. It was made so we could accommodate the family and everyone could have a good view from the amphitheater. We created a separate reception area so that we could meet everyone informally.
Bridal Makeup
I would like to start by saying thanks to Kamakshi! I know I was a super tough bride, because I gave her limited time, kept eating and taking breaks in between and troubled her last minute for things, but she always kept her calm. It made me realize what a good decision I made by choosing her because her good mood made my mood good. And in turn, the entire wedding was a great experience. From the trial day to my last makeup, Kamakshi has been understanding, responsive and communicative about the process and how we should go about each look. She was on time even if I was late and made sure she finished and did her best in the limited time I gave... Thank you so much Kamakshi â¤ï¸ I got so many compliments for my make up, and so many people went to the extent of complimenting my make up artist for making me look like me, not a cakey / dolled version of me!
Mehendi Artist
Ritu Di was so prompt and so good with her. She gave me the design that we discussed exactly, and worked very fast. Her and her team mate finished my entire bridal mehendi in little less than 3 hours. I was very particular about putting natural mehendi only and she assured me that she makes this mix herself at home. I followed her simple tips and got beautiful colour just the next day!
