Prak At Work

Prakruti was super quick and clearly good at what she does. As tan girl my main concern with MUAs is that they try to paint me 2 or 3 shades lighter and I was so glad that she understood that and cooperated with that. Although Prakruti was super quick with the make up her team could pick up a lil more speed as we late by about half an when we finished.

I had got Prakruti to do the makeup for my enagement ceremony, she goes by Prak at Work and is quite popular which is why I expected more from her. She was a little late for the event and that had me worried. I would say she was not very involved but she did an okay job though!!

I talked to Prakruthi in April for my late November wedding and booked the dates for my Reception and Wedding in Hyderabad. Since I live in Canada there was no way I could do a trial before the D-Day. For the reception, my sister and I arrived in the hotel and showed our outfits to Seetha Aunty and Prak and told Seetha Aunty the type of hairdos we wanted. Then the magic began. My friends came in and we had a gala time while getting ready. I was worried that my fiends might distract or disturb them but both Aunty and Prak are too much fun! They promptly arrived in the wee hours of the next day for the wedding, at the mandap. Again, everything went ahead smoothly while Prak and Aunty endured my pathetic jokes (#guilty). My sister and I were ready well in time. Also, Aunty wisely pleated and pinned my silk Koorai saree before the wedding festivities started which saved precious time when I had to change. I would recommend other brides who have to do multiple saree changes to give the saree to aunty beforehand so you can be relaxed during the saree change time. Additionally, in the last moment my mother needed her hair and makeup done as she was in state of panic (just as every mother is, when its her daughter's wedding). Prak and Aunty were very accommodating and gave her a nice regal look. Finally, I think their personable attitude and their attention to detail sets apart this mother-daughter duo! Thank you Prak and Seetha Aunty (#punkmami ) for the princess feels for my reception and wedding!! :)

I got my wedding and reception make up done by Prakruti back in 2014. Imagine my delight when I googled her name to connect her to a friend when I come upon this page! Prakruti and her mum were professional, delightful and simply the most accommodating duo ever. My event was chaotic - really, which Indian wedding isn't - but they were there on time (earrrrly - think 4 am beginnings) and managed to do an incredible job on me within half an hour (they had requested me to allot at least an hour and change, but like I said chaos). I have often mentioned her to family and friends since and intend to request her professional services again soon for another event coming up.
