TL;DR it’s just a decor company, not an event management company. They sell you complete event management, DO NOT fall for it. To start off, the 1.5 stars given is only for the decor. To give credit where credit is due, the decor was good, albeit not entirely what had been discussed. Now coming to the experience, the trouble began when one Mr.Prayansh assured he’d be the single point of contact and running the entire show. Given we had trusted him with our venue recce, and had satisfactory results, we jumped the gun and took them on for the entire event management. Though he started off with high promises from gift baskets to the entire event flow being planned out by them, we ran into issues at each and every step. Right from the room check in, which wasn’t available till later than the agreed upon time, (even we, the bride and groom ourselves had issues getting a room) Prayansh and his team were consistently pushing the blame on The Park (Somajiguda, our venue) team - and asking us to talk to them directly - which most definitely is the job of an “event management" company. Our friends and relatives had to jump in and coordinate the room check in scenario, and we ourselves had to be involved at the root grass level to fix this issue. Then, the sangeet decor was not ready on time - and again we were being routed to the Park team , as they were the ones not giving the place up for decor. Not sure how we, the wedding party, are to be bearing the brunt - for a miscommunication between this so called event management team, and the hotel themselves. The decor for sangeet, as a result was, not even 20% of what was discussed, and as agreed by Prayansh himself - was a huge “**** up” from their end. The next day, we did have the mehendi decor (though a few elements were missing) and pre wedding reception decor nearly as discussed, however, there was the last 10% of money transfer pending - which honestly wasn’t something we wanted to without having a discussion about the awful handling of events. That’s when Divya and Nikhil, the heads of this company, drop messages stating they wouldn’t proceed with the wedding decor if this wasn’t transferred within an hour. For a client who has already paid in multiple lakhs and 90% of the agreed upon amount , this kind of treatment they provided was abysmal. Through all this, we kept our cool as we didn’t want anything to mess with our big day, and our friends and family were always there helping to fix things messed up by this company and their services that we paid for - while they were supposed to just be enjoying with us as well. The sole reason we had brought on an event management company was defeated thoroughly. Finally, on the wedding day , there were missing elements which were agreed upon already - for which Prayansh was reached out. His response was and quoting it “I’m done with the decor and that’s all we had agreed on. I have left the venue and can’t be available for anything else.” which definitely was the last nail in the coffin. He then went on to delete our discussed docs as well. We’ve held off writing this review for about 3 months now, as I didn’t want to re-live the experience this team provided as an event management company - and we have at least 10-15 people who helped us all through the wedding as proof of this. However, this had to be there for any future brides and grooms to know what they are signing up for, and this review was long coming, the team knows that too. Final piece of input - Do not bite off more than you can chew, and do not assign one person to handle a 3 day event - which he clearly couldn’t. Do not give ultimatums to your clients who have already invested their time and money in your services , especially in the middle of their big day. If decor is the only thing you’d be able to achieve, you should have made it clear from the beginning and we could have bought on any other event management company. Assuring us that everything is going to be taken care off, only to play blame game later is substandard and unacceptable.

I would like to take a moment to appreciate the hard-work and dedication shown by Divya and her team(Maison de Decor) to put things together in a very short span of time, I would say all the elements and the decor done by them keeping in mind the theme right from backdrop to the colours everything was just perfect, thanks for making our wedding so special and memorable. When you have a perticular design and taste in mind but can’t express it what do you do? Fret, get annoyed and start stressing? Yes that was our exact emotions, but then we found Divya, who became more of a friend now, than just our wedding designer( that’s the level of comfort we she brings to the table ). She gives you a personal touch and tries to recreate the best out of your ideas. And as a groom what more do I need that making my bride happy ! That’s what she did, a personal touch to each and every detail, keeping every little thing in mind what we had asked for. She connects to such a great level with comfort and patience, oh and with that beautiful and happy soul, she makes everyone around perfectly comfortable and stress free. Divya thank you so much for not only the designs and execution but for the most important stress-free mental state we had because rest assured, we knew you’d get it done spectacularly. Big shout out to Divya and her team at MaisondeDecor.

We worked with Maison de Decor for our Mumbai wedding reception at Four Seasons, in Feb 2020 BC (Before Covid!). And I must confess, it was as amazing an event as it could get. From discussing each detailing, to owning the event end-to-end, to problem solving on a real time basis, Divya and her entourage was the dream team we could have worked with. Execution is one thing. But the way you execute it is a whole different ballgame altogether. What was just a by-chance encounter, bloomed into a fantastic event partnership. We couldn't have asked for more. Divya is more of a friend to us now and we can't wait to plan the next event with Maison de Decor! #RuMrHasIt that Maison de Decor is indeed one of the best in the business! Dont believe us? Take a look at the snaps below

We got married in Jan 2020 just before Covid/lockdown hit. I remember telling Divya I want something minimal but at the same time not too basic and I was really happy with how everything turned out. It was aesthetic, minimal and just what I wanted. The highlight for me was the lovely table setup which I was really looking forward to. Thanks again team Masion de Decor. I would totally recommend them.

Wedding planning as it is a stressful affair, and having one during Covid times came with it's own share of drama. Nearly every vendor I spoke to, didn't understand my brief. They were too busy trying to sell me the dreams of a glamorous and grand wedding. Whereas Divya from Maison de Decor immediately understood that I wanted a simple and elegant set-up, and at a crunched budget. She never made me feel that a limited budget means that I have compromise on quality! And what more it felt like having a friend on board. She is full of ideas, happy to guide and even go out of her way, not only for the D day but before that. Thank you, Maison de Decor for giving me the quaint and lovely wedding day that I had always wanted.
