All That Jazz

It takes a village to have the wedding of your dreams..Luckily, I found mine! I wasn't the typical "I've been dreaming about my wedding since I was a kid" woman. As the wedding inched closer I went from not having any idea or references to having a "feeling" that I'd want my wedding to have. I went to "All That Jazz" with that "feeling." Not everyone that is attending the wedding is there for the wedding but I wanted them to leave with something. I wanted my wedding to give people an opportunity to go inward, to find their balance, to find peace. After a few discussions I told ATJ I wanted to recreate the auditory and visual of the Ganga Ghat, a place where most Hindus go to pray and find peace through chanting. Having said this, I honestly thought it was a far fetched dream. Team ATJ was at work day in and day out and I was never bothered. They asked me to trust them but having giving them such abstract descriptions my heart was fluttering till the very second I walked in to the venue. Right from the first step I took- all the way to the mandal was everything I spoke of-rather didn't speak of. They had translated this "feeling" into an ethereal reality. Every single detail was so meticulously planned. What I saw was creativity beyond imagination! The Mandap emulated peace, purity and love. ATJ was in control and how- not a single hiccup, not a single phone call that would take away from time with family- These guys are truly my village! wanted to create a similar feeling through visual and auditory senses. ATJ also did my Mehendi- I wanted to go for something off beat- something that had traditional roots but still contemporary. I wanted this function to be super inclusive. They designed the decor with chilli's and the centre piece for each table were carefully laid out pickle jars. They organised "phoolon ki holi" for me which was a concept very new to me. I had heard of it happening in outdoor spaces but this was the first time I saw them do something indoors! The arrangement of the tables and the of the placement of the stage was so perfect it allowed a free flow for people to come and dance, great and mingle. ATJ also did up the decor of my house. What I loved about their team was that they didn't just go with the trend, they got to know me. They transformed my home to the ideal "shaadiwala ghar" and I couldn't have been happier. I have seen team ATJ work day and night- they have made impossible-possible! They created out of a "feeling" I wanted people to have, they have ironed out every query on and off site. This is me vouching for "my village!"
