I was extremely lucky to have Vinyasa as my bridal make up artist for 2 of my wedding events, the cocktail night and the reception. My initial conversations with her went so smooth as she had a great idea on what would suit me and my outfit best, it instilled confidence in me and I could trust her. On the day of event she lighted up my day from the beginning as she and her team were punctual and they entered with a smile on their face. Her work is unbelievable and flawless, her airbrush makeup made me look the best I have ever looked and the products had absolutely no after effects though I have extremely sensitive skin. I noticed that all the brushes are cleaned before use and neatly packed in the most hygienic way. I received several compliments for both of my looks and I owe it all to Vinyasa for making me feel so so happy on my day. Thank you so much Vinyasa and team, your discipline and talent is commendable! <3 Lots of love, Anitha

Vinyasa is extremely good with her makeup techniques. She truly achieved the glass skin look on me and I can’t thank her enough for making me look so dreamy on all my wedding events . She made me look like a princess out of a fairy tale 💕

Vinyasa is very professional and do meet the bride requirements. Her best work on me was my Muhurtha. She did a great job and the makeup was on point. Everywhere I go I do get compliments for my muhurtha makeover. Clean and natural no over do's. My reception makeup was also very good as discussed, my hairstyle from front was very good. However, back of my hair style for reception dint meet the expectation as we discussed. I did choose a simple hairstyle but It looked very much like a normal plait(selected hair plait was different to what was done) I realized this only after looking at the photos. However,we started on time and I guess mutual understanding is required for a successful job. Please make youself available for the artist to get most out of it. I would highly recommend Vinyasa. I would definitely book her for my next event.

I got to know about Vinyasa through my best friend and got in touch with her 6 months before my wedding. I appreciate how Vinyasa came up with a customized plan of allocating the right type of make-up artists for all the events. Vinyasa and team were professional and punctual for all the events, had great suggestions for hair and makeup. They were also very accommodating despite delays at my end. I was very happy with the final result, hair and makeup, for all events. The makeup on the day of muhurtha stayed and looked great for hours! So glad I made the right decision with Vinyasa. She also had very good recommendations for pre-wedding skin care routine. I would highly recommend Vinyasa Hippla as a makeup artist <3 :)

I booked her for my brothers bride based on the reviews but they did such a bad job. The makeup looked very cakey, it was just so many layers to start off, and they made the bride look darker in an event to an extent that so many of our relatives kept asking why she looked so dark compared to when they had seen her before. The saree draping was so bad that any amateur would have done it better than them. There was absolutely no point in telling them anything as they always had a reply for everything instead of trying to understand what we wanted. Edit: (reply) We didn’t ask the artist to make us fair! My brothers bride looked darker than her usual self in the first event. You can see the pictures of reception and the one where she’s in a blue saree (first event), her shade looks different in both. We are not obsessed with fairness nor did we tell the artist to make her look fair! She did a good job at the trial but why did the bride look darker in the first event? And I’m sure we discussed the look and everything in the trial so what do you mean by “the bride didn’t say what she exactly wants?” while getting dressed. About the assistant, she took 3 hours just to blow dry, straighten, curl my hair for reception. She forgot to apply foundation even on my neck, ears.. I did it myself after she left. She needs to learn to contour better and do a better job with eyebrows as well. Both of which I told her then and there.. she did try to correct it but I still felt my eyebrows could have been filled better (ref: 2nd picture) Have a look at my braid, I’m sure any artist will make sure it’s straight first. (ref: 3rd picture) I didn’t ask the assistant if I can contact her directly to hire her, she told me herself (please get your facts right) I was not happy with her work, why would I ask her if I can contact her directly? The saree draping - was so shoddy. I can drape a saree better than the draper. The pleats were not centered and ruffles on the sides (ref: 1st and 4th picture) My muhurtham saree has 3 big holes because the safety pins she used were stuck (the saree had gone through the round bit at the end of the pin) She didn’t even use good quality safety pins with a lock, or least she could have just used beads. What kind of an expert is she? The saree costs 90k and the weavers also said nothing can be done about the holes. What do you have to say to that? Even people like me know that there different kinds of safety pins available for different kinds of cloth materials. This could have just been avoided by using a good pin that comes with a button/bead. My brother’s bride muhurtham and reception look was good. Hair and makeup looked very nice. But why was there a difference in her skin tone in the first event compared to her reception look? (This was not just the opinion of 1 or 2 people!) This review may not make sense to the artist, but as a client, when we pay so much, we expect the artist to do good job.

I appreciate reviews and give a lot of importance to it because it has always improved my business, but only when it comes from the right set of people. This client of mine Mahitha booked me for her brother's groom makeup and hair couple of months back took a trial from me and were happy with the look, but on the day of all her events the bride wa...
