A perfect wedding starts with the perfect planning team and that is no doubt Namrata and her team at 2FatLadies. When we started our wedding planning process a year ago we spoke to many planners across the city & the first meeting with all of them was the same i.e. them telling us about their packages and services. And then we spoke to Namrata who spent the entire meeting getting to know us as a couple, our families and our love story. That moment I knew we had found our wedding planners. Namrata never treated our wedding as an event or a business. Since our first meeting she has put us as a couple at the heart of the process and every suggestion she made has been tailor-made to our vision, story and personalities. Her people-first approach is her biggest differentiator and the rest automatically follows. Namrata has played the role of a friend, sister, confidant, family and much more for me and she has gone above and beyond in how accommodating she has been in managing all the planning within the constraints of our busy work schedules, time zones (my husband was planning this remotely from Canada) and every last minute demand I have placed on her. Namrata and her team (shout-out to Cean, Rahul, Akanksha and the rest) have been relentless every single day in getting us the best deals possible, maximising every rupee spent, suggesting the most innovative ideas to personalise our wedding and making sure that the execution on the day was absolutely perfect with zero hiccups. Her creativity and sense of aesthetics is beyond compare - her inputs on decor, menu planning, wedding stationary and all things design uplifted the output to a level I could not imagine. But beyond perfect execution of the event itself it’s Namrata’s demeanour and approach to dealing with families, friends and every person involved in the wedding process that really stood out for us. She is the calming force every bride needs during her wedding, she is the perfectionist that makes sure every wedding is a couples dream wedding, and she deals with absolute honesty, transparency and prompt communication which helped put us at ease and never left us wondering about what is happening behind the scenes. As the wedding euphoria settles and I reflect on our wedding, I realise that what seemed like the most effortless, fun and perfectly planned day for our guests was a labour of love at Namrata’s end - she and the team have put in so much work behind the scenes to orchestrate the most minute details but none of that effort or stress was ever allowed to percolate to us, our families or our guests and we were able to just focus on having the best day of our lives. It’s difficult to put into words just how amazing Namrata and the team at Two Fat Ladies were throughout the entire process. My husband and I live in Australia but decided to have a destination wedding in India to honour my husband’s roots, and because we thought it would be an adventure! As my husband has spent most of his life in Australia, and I am not Indian, the idea of organising a three-day wedding in India was extremely overwhelming to say the least! We knew from the start that we wanted a wedding that would capture and celebrate both our cultural backgrounds and be consistent with who we were as a couple. So we knew that we needed to find someone who could understand our vision, work across cultures, and who we could really trust to manage this process given we would be doing all of this remotely. The process of finding a wedding planner was challenging but Namrata immediately stood out from the pack! She was responsive, took the time to REALLY understand what we wanted and delivered a proposal that was very clearly bespoke, and tailored specifically to us. As soon as the process started, we were immediately reassured that we had chosen the right team. She helped us really understand how to pick the perfect venue, put together an amazing list of options, and patiently helped us come to a decision. Immediately, we could see the value of having Namrata on our team. Her experience and knowledge of what should be included in the wedding contract was impressive and she worked tirelessly to ensure we secured the best deal with our venue and included as much detail as possible to minimise the possibility of any future difficulties. Namrata and the team’s high standard of work continued throughout the entire process. She has such an amazing eye for detail and really considers every little component in bringing the wedding concept to life. She is honest in feedback and would be forthcoming if she felt something wasn’t going to work, or we needed to change the plan, but at the same time if something felt important to us, she went the extra mile to think outside the box on how we could approach it. She also applies a high standard to any of the vendors she recommends. She really considers who will be a good fit for the wedding vibe and was quick to decline any vendors she felt were showing they would not be capable of delivering the standard we expected. On the wedding days- her team was amazing! They looked after everything and made sure that we had everything we needed. The really nailed every part of the wedding. All the events ran smoothly, the décor was beautiful, the food was delicious, the music was perfect, and they made our very diverse group of guests, feel incredibly welcomed and looked after. Choosing Two Fat Ladies to plan our wedding was honestly the best decision we made. We are so thankful to them for planning and executing such a beautiful wedding, but we are also so thankful to them for the amazing support they extended to us over the year. Namrata went above and beyond what we ever expected, and we know we couldn’t have done it without her and her amazing team.

To talk about Namrata who is the heart and soul of 2FL is quite emotional for me. My husband and I were looking for wedding planners and literally the one thing that stood out to me when talking to Two fat ladies was their name. It was interesting and sparked a curiosity in me to know more about them. I spoke to a lot of people after Namrata but somehow our very first conversation made me feel very warm and at home. Once Namrata gave us a rundown of the process, spoke with us about our requirements and our budget, we knew it was her! She was going to be our teammate for a very personal experience that we wanted to create, specially because we decided to do a wedding in Bali while living in two different states of the USA ourselves. It started with giving us venue proposals. She was very clear and knew exactly what to prioritize at that time. We went through multiple calls at odd times (she always adjusted to our time and date), videos, photos of different venues in different places and then selected Ayodhya Bali Resort, Nusa Dua - Bali. Then came the decor discussion. Karan and I are both designers and we had very specific demands and needs in terms of the smallest of design elements that might be hidden to the normal eye. She made sure she heard us through it all. I knew at some point we wanted to do lemons and purple flowers for the center table piece for Haldi and it was too tough to find that amount of cheap lemons in Bali but on Haldi once we got some time, we saw the lemons and I was like omg, I see you and thank you! She was a part of us throughout the detailing, explained stuff to us that we did not understand, was very communicative about everything even if something was costing more than expected - she tried to find cheaper options for us or have a valid explanation for it. The 2 months before the wedding were insane, we did about 3-4 calls every week cause she wanted to make sure that as we came closer to the day there were no surprises for us. She also recommends the remaining crew (Photographer, DJ, MUA) understanding the vibe of the couple. For me, she felt like an older sister taking care of me. There have been times when I have called her and dumped my feelings on her. She takes care of you and she cares deeply about you. I think that is all that you need. I know with her, I have created a bond of a lifetime and we are still in touch about life in general. A lot of people who I have spoken to who get married always say, “the day goes by fast”, “ remember to have fun”, “make sure you get to enjoy” Which honestly we had been telling ourselves too but the preparation we had done with Two Fat Ladies over the past year came to life & how! Karan and I both trusted them completely and they did not disappoint at all, in fact they gave us the gift of the beautiful and seamless memories we created. We reached the venue, and I kid you not we have seen this venue in photos/videos multiple times, it was so grand and beyond our imagination. We chose this venue mainly because of Namrata as she insisted that this would be perfect for us. And it was. Every step from our guests arrival to the end of the wedding and breakfast the next day was seamless. Karan and I did not have to remember to have fun. We actually got to experience every single emotion at every event. Seeing all our designs and decor come to life right from the start was emotional and heartwarming and genuinely magical. I was insistent on having a mandap with Kaleera decor as we did not want flowers and we actually transported the kaleeras for our whole mandap to Bali! The thing, she never says no - she will be like okay - I’ll figure it out. Every single person at the wedding was praising the efforts, the compassion and the hardwork of our amazing planners and her team. Long story short, she is compassionate, will work with what you need and hears you out when you need it, she is very transparent about everything, the communication level is brilliant and there is nothing and no problem that team Two fat Ladies can’t solve! Definitely 200% recommend them for your wedding! I would say, you will immediately feel at home with them and that’s all you need.

I was one of the silly ones who thought I could do it myself.. with maybe some help from my friends and family. Please don't make that mistake and waste time. Because that's what I did and reached out to Namrata quite close to the wedding (she had a deadpan look of astonishment when I told her our wedding dates which I will never forget!) Yet she took on the project and created magic at each event. She is patient, understands your wishes, and will also firmly fit them into your budget with her amazing contacts and network. Our wedding was wonderfully planned and executed by her and the team and I was really able to enjoy myself to the max. They say it takes a village to raise a baby... First, that village gets you married! So make sure you have that person who gathers that village for you. That's her.

From a starting point of "why do we even need a wedding organizer", I have come full circle and have become a fan of Two Fat Ladies. Namrata and her team made the wedding so easy for our family that we hardly felt any pain during the whole build up to the wedding and then the actual execution. Some of the real advantages of using them are a) Namrata listens to what you want and need b) She does not present you with a busget, but works within your own budget. There was no wastage, no unnecessary frills that cost money adding any value. c)I saw no greed and also no pressure to make payments sooner rather than later. Yes, some payments had to be time bound. d) The team was professional right down to the basics. e) Namrata is easy to talk to and very agreeable. IN short, I cannot praise them enough. I would definitely recommend Namrata and her team to anyone planning a wedding. You will not regret it.

Where do I begin to explain what Namrata and her team did for me? There is a wide berth between deciding to get married and having a wedding. In between you will experience such insane ups and downs many of which are decidedly unromantic. I was on the fence about whether to hire a wedding planner or not, and Namrata’s manner put me at ease. She listened to what I wanted and worked with my priorities. I am not the kind of girl that has planned or dreamed of every detail of her wedding - I had very simple I gave her two basic briefs: 1. I wanted to have fun at my wedding 2. I wanted my guests to have fun My wedding was day before yesterday and I can happily report that both my requirements were fulfilled. Although my requirements were relatively simple, they would have done the same for a much more elaborate affair. Because Namrata and her team are painstakingly detail oriented - and meticulous about fulfilling those things that are important to their clients. Their vendor partners are amazing and helpful - and all her vendor recommendations were on point. Namrata really champions her clients - ensuring that we received five star treatment at the hotel where we stayed. She paid attention to what was important to us and gave us amazing ideas on how to bring the experience of our wedding to the next level. I will miss working with her because she made the process fun, comfortable and accessible - and was patient and caring throughout. Thank you Namrata and the entire Two Fat Ladies team - including my little bridal helper Pari - from the bottom of my heart, for making my big day special and memorable. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I can’t stop looking at the photos and smiling. Guys - if you’re on the fence about working with a wedding planner - do it! It makes things so much easier because there is someone to fall back on, and at the time of the wedding there are a zillion things that could go wrong. How do I start this review? I guess I’ll start by saying, I have been planning my wedding since the last 10 years at least even before I met my now husband. Needless to say because of all these years of planning, I am extremely detail oriented and particular about a lot of things. When choosing a planner the things we were most interested in was someone who had a lot of experience with couples who weren’t in india and we were looking for someone who could be hands on. There’s a lot of good say about Namrata’s approach but I would say the best things about her is 1) Her decor detailing and aesthetic design sense and 2) Her organization around finances. One thing that I liked about Namrata (even though I didn’t realize it at the time) is her ability to push back. She will always do what the couple wants ultimately but she will first try to speak to the couple and explain her POV based on her experience. Very few planners are detail oriented but Namrata hit the nail on the head with how she focuses on details. For someone like me, I need to know the fabrics of our table overlays and she catered to those requests. She was available for us during our time zones as well and had a proper plan from start to D day so we were stress free. We had our dream wedding a week back and couldn’t have done it without Namrata and her team - special thanks to Aakanksha who was my shadow and was an angel in disguise. Well well, where do I start? My search for a good wedding planner started as soon as my search for my life partner ended. It was very troublesome job to find a good trustworthy wedding planner until I spoke to Namrata from two fat ladies. She starts off with a detailed one hour customised presentation exactly based on your needs which we discussed a day ago and the moment the call got ended, I was totally convinced and excited to decide that we would want to get married with the help of two fat ladies. The detailing in job , the availability on calls/ WhatsApp irrespective of the hour, the calmness, the empathy, the understanding they have about weddings and customs is simply top notch. There would definitely be many good planners in Mumbai and surroundings but they would all be about business, two fat ladies is all about relation building , the last thing I’ve heard from them is talk about their business or trying to make us pay extra for something unnecessary. They were simply amazing and have helped us out of their way many a times. I am really lucky to have found Namrata and her team and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration if i said it wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. The wedding was completely international and we were clueless about vendors, contacts , costs etc. but the tables have turned just after a week of talking to them and me and my families were more than confident that we would have the best wedding ever.
