A wedding planner and coordinator, a savvy organiser, a tactical networker, an enthusiastic brain-stormer, a creative ideator, an empathetic supporter, and as far as the inevitable wedding-day mishaps are concerned, a brilliant hands-on manager. Looking back, these are just a few ways in which we would describe Sejal Deshpande (Shaadi Ityaadi). Having been together since undergrad college, our wedding was one that was about ten years in the making; ten years of putting ideas together; ten years to build towards a plan; and ten years of how we envisioned one of the most special days of our shared lives. We thought we had it all figured out – the perfectly curated destination wedding, just the way we wanted. We were confident and the thought of a wedding planner wasn’t even on the cards. But then, a few months after the engagement and well into the planning stage, a friend recommended that we have someone to at least coordinate our wedding plans and suggested Sejal as the ideal candidate – turns out, it was the best advice ever! Our first meeting with Sejal was enough to put any apprehensions to rest. She sat there as we prattled on for hours about our plans and ideas, and even the ways in which they were to be implemented. It’s one thing to gauge a client’s preferences and devise a wedding aesthetic that’s best suited to them; it takes something and someone really special to take an already established vision, execute it to the tee and add elements of your own that only enhance it further. Six months to go to the wedding, a three-day event in Goa – and we now almost blindly followed each one of Sejal’s instincts from caterers, to cake-makers, photographers, make-up artists, decorators, designers and printers, transport as well as hotels and accommodations – all of which paid amazing dividends. Once we had our road map chalked out, we found it best to leave the steering wheel in her hands and it freed us up to enjoy the journey. Tending to the minutest of details, she left no stone unturned to ensure our special day wasn’t just special to us, but to all our family and close friends in attendance. Sejal’s ability to establish an empathetic and personal relationship, coupled with her accommodative spirit and attention to detail are enduring qualities that made it easier for us to overcome all the hurdles associated with a wedding – both minuscule and grave. In fact, without so much as a quibble, she stepped beyond her professional role to help us handle a crisis. She worked hard, yet in a manner that seemed effortless, to ensure that the wedding we had envisioned – that perfect day, with the perfect partner, against the backdrop of that perfect sunset, surrounded by our loved ones, was one of the happiest and most memorable days of our lives. The experience was surreal, and it was a dream made real by Sejal and Shaadi Ityaadi – something for which we will always look back upon fondly and with immense gratitude.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while and no better time to write this review as we complete our 6month wedding anniversary :). It was a pleasure to have Sejal and her team plan our wedding. They went above and beyond to accommodate all our requirements. Sejal is an extremely compassionate and meticulous person who can not only implement the tasks at hand flawlessly but also add personal touch to every single aspect. My husband and I live abroad with very busy jobs and the time difference added to our hurdles. Sejal made sure we had ample options to pick and choose from and managed every single thing we asked for. What stands out about about Sejal’s work is that that she takes time to understand the style of the couple and invests her resources to familiarize herself with the families involved. This gives her an edge over the rest because she is not just blindly implementing what’s been asked of her but she comes up with great ideas and solutions. Sejal and her team are extremely resourceful and will not disappoint. Our families were very impressed with her work and I would highly recommend Shaadi Ityaadi.

It was an absolute pleasure and delight engaging Shaadi Ityaadi for my brother's wedding. Sejal had literally become a family member since she was on board and helped us in all aspects from ideation to execution. She probably has a magical fairy stick in her bag since there is no problem to which she doesn't have a solution. She has amazing ideas in her box and tricks up her sleeves. We had multiple functions for a week and with guests coming from across the globe, the coordination would not have been possible without Shaadi Ityaadi. Completely in awe of Sejal's patience, presence of mind and dedication towards motto of sustainable weddings. All events were wonderfully managed and executed without any hassles. If you expect a 100, you will definitely get 150 from her and her team.

Shaadi Ityaadi did an absolutely fantastic job in organising both the UK and India legs of our wedding. Sejal and her team completely understood us as a couple and our personalities - this reflected in their ideas while planning our wedding. They came up with some really cool, interesting and eco-friendly ideas for our wedding giveaways - mugs with personalised messages, organic beauty products for the bridesmaids in jute bags and and eco-friendly confetti’s. We had guests coming from the UK and we landed literally 4 days before the wedding and guess what? - We weren’t stressing at all. Everything was already planned and organised well in advance .. Everything was super co-ordinated and the guests even commented on how smoothly all the functions went. I cannot thank them enough for the way the wedding was planned and organised without much input from us and yet it was SOOO US! I would highly recommend them if you want a personalised, creative and a complete stress-free wedding.

What can I say about Shaadi Ityaadi? Sejal and her capable team swooped in and took over all the major arrangements in such a short time, as I was abroad before the wedding. She came up with really creative ideas to fulfill our dream wedding, and scouted and arranged for a great live band for our reception! All our guests really enjoyed the music and dance. She also understood my vision for the haldi/mehendi ceremony, with just the right decor at an intimate venue and arranged for unique, memorable, and eco-friendly favors. They even took care of our guests, family, photographers, and the band staff, making our life so much easier. While initially we were planning to this wedding more DIY, we are very thankful we worked with them since there is so much to arrange and do in a wedding, especially the day of. She was also very cognizant of our budget and made sure we got great deals everywhere, and made excellent vendor recommendations along the way. Rest assured, working with Shaadi Ityaadi you are bound to have a great experience, not only planning your dream wedding but making it a reality with their creative, hard-working, and talented staff.

Love love love working with Sejal, who helped plan my wedding at ITC Grand Central. She's on the ball when it comes to vendors, options, venues, pricing, etc. More importantly, she is a compassionate person who goes out of her way to support a bride-to-be or people planning something of this scale for the first time in their lives. As a result, they shine with her presence of mind and experience. It's very rare to meet people who think non-commercially, and bend over backwards keeping in mind their clients. I would highly recommend hiring them, as they also specialise in sustainable weddings all around the world.
