Rohini Kakade Bridal Makeup Artist

I had a good experience with Rohini. I booked her online during my covid wedding. I just the saw the photos in her insta profile and went with that. I did not want to risk my skin and changing makeup artist as last minute so I decided to book her come what may- Here are few things I think you should know as a bride before you book her- 1. Her rates are comparable to the mumbai artists lile Kajol paswa ( little lower than her) but she demands a suite for herself when she is working on you (suite, not a hotel room, but a suite) I booked a suite for her and her hair assistant in Taj for 1 night 1 day which was roughly more than 60k. 2. No matter how late you are to get to the mandap, she doesn’t give a damn, you need to twirl and pose for her until she is satisfied ( probably thats how her insta posts are increasing, my sister was little annoyed and so was I as Rohini knew i was already late but she still didn’t leave me and made me wait 15 mins for her marketing posts). 3. She is good at complementing ur skin if its really nice and hairfree (she did complement me) but she won’t hesitate to comment if ‘she feels’ that your jewellery is not too bling for her taste. I think she prefers everything fake and big and bling and although I know there are few people who would prefer that, but she needs to understand that some people actually prefer minimal& spekeasy and normal. You can have grand wedding and you can still be presentable. But I feel in her world, these 2 combinations does not exist. Overall I had good experience but it would have been great if she gave me mirror to peek into once or twice. I would have asked her to not makeup outline of my lips fake and big which i did not like and asked her to take it off after i was finally allowed to see my face once every things was done! She made sure to take it off BUT ONLY AFTER her marketing posts with my overlined lips 🙄. I would say my pictures came out pretty good. But that was mostly because the photographers were great! My makeup in general was very heavy even after I asked to keep it natural. I hope makeup artists understand the term ‘minimal’ and ‘natural’

Rohini was an absolute dream. So sweet, accommodating and easy to work with. She understood my vision super well and knew the contemporary style I wanted to go with. I booked her way in advance without a trial because she comes highly recommended. We shared ideas over WhatsApp and had video call or two prior to the wedding, she told me she understood my vision and style and will be prepared with the right makeup and accessories - and she so was. Known for her traditional makeup, Rohini delivered the unique and unconventional looks I asked for with Russian inspired hair dos without breaking a sweat! I loved each and every look and would recommend her without a doubt!
