Our wedding planners were Purplerings. They did an exceptional job bringing our vision to life and handling every last detail to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our wedding planners took care of the decor as well. For each event we had a theme. The first, our Haldi was centered around Holi. The decor involved a lot of marigolds and brass pots to give off a very earthy feel. The Sangeet was Diwali themed and the Wedding had traditional Kerala decor. Finally, the reception had a canopy of lights as its main draw.Source

A very big Thank you to Purplerings team’s efforts in making our Betrothal, Maduramveppu and Wedding so special. They have a unique and an exceptional eye for every detail that went in the moodboard and the ease at explaining the design options made it easy for us to take every decision. I loved how wonderfully coordinated their team was and had knowledge on how to knob all aspects for our events. They managed to organize everything at ease during a PANDEMIC, which speaks lengths about their organisational skills, so professional always! We had so much fun planning all our event with them.

My wife and I got married on the 25th of October 2021 & the dates for the wedding was decided just about 2 months before. With Covid restrictions still around, we were concerned about how everything would pan out! One of our friends recommend us Purple Rings & we decided to reach out to them. During our 1st meeting itself, we got a sense of comfort with them & they clearly understood our requirements & started working on the same. We were presented with multiple themes and costings for us to make an informed choice. They were very hands on throughout & as the days progressed, we could see everything falling in place. All the minute details / requests were taken care off & their estimates were in line with our budget with no hidden costs. Their eye for quality & detail was clearly visible during the event & at the end, they were able to give us our perfect dream wedding! When I look back now, all I can remember is the beautiful set-up, the happy faces, our moments of joy & the ease through which we were able to get done with it, all thanks to the good team at Purple Rings!

he title should actually be "Meet the Fairy Godmothers"- the ones you who make dreams come true, magically conjure up fairytale weddings and keep your sanity intact. I owe it all (standing encore types) to the crazy talented and fierce logistic queens Neethi & Saumya from Purplerings. Early on in our wedding planning, mum and I were very clear about hiring wedding planners. While Google is a great starting point to identify the best-in-the-game, it was a good friend from office who introduced me to the fabulous Neethi. I remember our first meeting was over a cup of coffee and I honestly was so nervous because I had no idea what questions to ask or why I was actually meeting her. I mean common, it's not like I've done this before. However, ten minutes into our conversation, I was pretty much sold. She effortlessly took the lead just like a pro and asked me all the questions, including what "our" story is. This mattered to me because if I was going to hand over the reigns to someone, I needed them to become a friend first- someone I could trust and tell all to- the good, bad and ugly. So, that's how we met. After a thread of emails, presentations and budget proposals, the golden reigns were handed over. Purplerings were given the humongous tasks of making #Pranam2016 our dream wedding. I'm going to go all out and detail 5 things Purplerings did for us. Maybe this might help you reason with why wedding planners are a good brilliant idea. 1. Decisions, decisions. "I want a pink wedding... umm no, maybe a rustic-peach themed one". Ten minutes later, I chose the pink and that night I couldn't sleep. Guys, decision making is the most stressful thing ever! You break out in a sweat and get moody AF which is the real horror story of your life. That's where Neethi first helped me. She brought a certain calm in my life during those months leading up to the wedding. She made it easier for me to make decisions because I left them up to her *wink*. Bridezillas-in-the-making, please learn to let go. 2. Budget control. Again, there's no way of knowing what "budget" you have for your wedding. It's so subjective. Since this was the first wedding my family was hosting in India, the folks didn't have an idea of how much venues or caterers or lehengas or invites cost. We were completely clueless. When Neethi initially asked me what our budget was, I went completely blank. However, in time she presented an excel sheet with a detailed budget (centre-table candles included) which helped us identify where to save or splurge. Also, once we'd gotten a fair idea, we were able to chalk out a budget and she always always had a solution not to go beyond it. Maybe, they should start a financial consultancy too (just saying). 3. Decoration I had my entire wedding planned out on Pinterest even before P and I decided to get hitched. Let's just say I was an ever-ready bride *wink*. When it came to decoration, I knew exactly what I wanted but obviously reality kicks in and budgets make for an obstacle. That's where Neethi waves around her magic wand and gives you solutions to ensure you get exactly what you want. Also, despite knowing what I wanted for all four functions, I let Neethi make all the creative decisions like putting up quirky flower adorned ladders for my mehendi which were so darn cute or insisting that the "extra" drapes at the entrance will look grander (and it did!). Also, guys, my mandap was the most beautiful thing ever. I wanted to cry when I saw it, but of course I couldn't ruin my makeup. Controlled those tears like a badass bride. 4. People Management I already knew that Purplerings would do a brilliant job at the decor, but more than that, mum and I needed someone to bring some calm and clarity to the real madness- the people. Dealing with vendors, caterers, hotel staff etc. was not something we wanted to get into. Also, I knew I wanted my friends and family to juggle all the fun stuff and not deal with the stressful bits. So, that's where Neethi and her team come in. They did all the screaming and stressing while I just demanded "why is the mehendi artist late?" like a true bride. Neethi, kudos to you for keeping calm and hiding all signs of stress. 5. Small Things On the day of my wedding it rained! Guys, it never-ever-freaking-rains-ever in December. I woke up thinking "WTF". After P and I got engaged we had started looking for venues and I was very specific that I wanted to get married "under the stars" and not in a hall! But because Bangalore had to go all moody on me, literally 12 hours before my wedding Neethi and team had to rethink and redo the whole setup from an outdoor wedding and move it indoors. I thought it was going to a HUGE disaster but it turned out to be quite the opposite. One of my fondest memories from that day was Neethi coming home in the morning and chilling with me while I was still in bed in my PJs. We had chai, spoke about the weird weather and how drunk I got the night before. By now, I was pretty much in a pre-bridal daze. When I think back to that day, I know that if she hadn't come to "chill" with me, I would have been a mess, but her little gesture of chai and reassurance made me the most chilled out bride ever (it's true, ask the guests!). Apart from this Purplerings did a tonne of other things from putting together guest hampers, coordinating with the whole world, coming up with on-the-spot solutions and always having a smile on their face. This made me so-very-happy. Note: I will be posting more on details from the wedding and Purplerings. Disclaimer: There were some small goof ups and that's okay cause we're all humans, so don't be hard on yourself or on the people who are working so hard to make your big day perfect. Shit happens but try to keep calm and hire a wedding planner.
