Marigold Diaries - Weddings Et More

We had to fire Divya & Deepak from Marigold Diaries 2 weeks before our wedding. We had hired them 7 months prior to the wedding and, oh well this was the worst decision ever. Let me summarize everything that went down south with them and all the red flags we overlooked because they came recommended by a friend and we didn't do enough digging about them. 1. They were not clear about the costs and budgets despite us asking a million times. We always received very ambiguous replies and we kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. 2. The budget for the decor of the wedding was only disclosed to us 2 weeks before the wedding when we had hired them 7 months before the wedding. This gave us very little to no time do a back and forth on the numbers and no suggestions on decreasing the budget sat well with them, they kept pushing back on what they quoted with absolutely no explanation or clarity on anything. Eg: Why does an entrance arch cost this much and what will you be using to make it? Their response: It does cost this much only we can't reduce it and we will use best of the things. Which we had no idea what it was even after asking them at least three to four times. 3. Since the budget was revealed only 2 weeks prior to the wedding with no clarity of what the exact design or material would be used, this gave them the advantage to force us to accept unrealistic numbers, which we did not cave to. 4. They were extremely lazy and laid back about everything, rarely showing up for meetings on time and never meeting deadlines. 5. They scrapped every single idea we suggested for the wedding decor and everything seemed not possible to do, which is surprising because we wanted very less to no decor for most events. 6. No number of calls and meetings changed anything for us, we had no choice but to fire them. As soon as we fired them there was no reply from them that is no message or call and their immediate reaction was to block us from the google doc that housed all the wedding details. This just reinforced that we made the right choice although it was the riskiest and the hardest thing to do with just 14 days left to the wedding. I can go on about how extremely unprofessional they are and have zero consideration for their clients. It was such an unpleasant experience. I highly recommend you don't ever hire these folk and always ask at least 3 parties before hiring a wedding planner. We had to make mountains move in two weeks to get the wedding done. But we fortunately did find another wedding planner who made everything and more come true for us in 13 days to be precise. They did every little bit that we wanted and more in 40% of the budget quoted by Divya & Deepak of Marigold Diaries.

Divya/Deepak and their team were FANTASTIC! Us being overseas, there were great at having regular meetings with us over phone/video call. They got the décor we wanted SPOT ON to its finest detail. It made up for so many other things that did not go as we had planned during that period. They were always available when we needed them and cooperated as much as possible. They pushed us to meet deadlines with details so that they could start planning the timeline of the functions. Our outdoor wedding venue got rained out the day before the wedding and they were great at recreating it at the indoor venue. In the commotion of the wedding planning and the madness, we probably did not give them everything they asked for or delayed in doing so. Maybe we expected them to push us and be on our neck a little more. They did try hard though haha!Source

Absolutely loved everything! All the details that we gave were followed till the t! Super comfortable to work with and we loved the decor for all the functions, everything was so different and unique. Loved the cherry blossoms that they created for us! Thank you Divya and Deepak 😊
