Unprofessional, Unreliable, and Full of Excuses Honestly, there’s not much good I can say about this event management team. Let me share two specific examples of how they failed us: 1. Haldi Ceremony Setup As a member of the groom’s team, I was involved in making sure everything was set up correctly. We gave the event team a clear layout for how the tables and chairs should be arranged, but: The setup didn’t match the layout at all. >When I asked them about it, they claimed the layout I had was different from what they had approved with the couple. I trusted them, thinking it might be a communication issue, but we ended up having to fix everything ourselves. >When I double-checked the tables, one was missing. The event team insisted everything was there, but even after we pointed out the mistake, they blamed the hotel staff. They had told us they had double-checked everything, but clearly, they hadn’t. >On top of that, many of the chairs were broken, and several chair covers were dirty. We had to repeatedly point this out before they finally fixed it. 2. Background Music and Sound System On the same day, the event team was also in charge of the music. An hour before the event, I checked to make sure everything was ready. They hadn’t downloaded the Spotify playlist because of "internet issues," so we gave them internet access. Yet, just 5 minutes before the event, they still couldn’t get the music to play. >They had been at the venue for over an hour, and they still didn’t have it figured out. When I asked the lead person, she just said, “I don’t know why it’s not working.” >For an event management company, I expected solutions, not excuses. When their "technical team" couldn’t fix it, we had to find an AUX cable ourselves to play the music from a phone. >Even worse, they had the same issue the day before, which we also had to fix for them. When I confronted the lead about it, she lied, pretending it was a new problem, but another team member caught her in the lie. Final Thoughts If you’re looking for an event team that is unorganized, unreliable, always blaming others, and even lies to your face, then go ahead and hire them. But if you want a stress-free event, save your money and avoid this team. They’re not here to manage your event—they’re here to mess it up.

Disappointing Wedding Planers, i would give 0 if i could on this platform I recently attended my friend's wedding and I can’t help but feel frustrated by the complete lack of professionalism from the wedding management team. Despite flying out SIX of their staff, they were utterly unprepared and left us, the friends, to step in and make everything work. As someone who who has some experience in event planning, I expected them to do their due diligence and ensure everything was in order, regardless of the location. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and we, the friends, could have pulled it off without calling us an event planning team. There were so many issues, it’s hard to know where to start. To begin with, the team was unorganized. They seemed to avoid responsibility for anything that went wrong, always blaming the hotel or others rather than offering solutions. For example: - Parts of the venue were dirty: something that should’ve been noticed during setting everything up but they didnt seem to care - They didn’t ensure the table arrangements were made according to plan: with some tables even on raised platforms, creating seating issues. Some chairs even collapsed, and when we asked for more chairs, they just grabbed them from other tables! - The decor was inconsistent : the chairs and tables weren’t even properly decorated in the same way, and there were dirty and some tables had torn decorations. The sound and music were another disaster. There was a random playlist during the event that completely missed the mark, and we had to step in to fix it. The sound engineer was distracted, more focused on his phone than on his job. AC units were poorly positioned, blowing directly at the guests' faces and not being adjustable. On the wedding day itself, the team’s lack of foresight became painfully obvious. The wedding booklets were distributed late and the wedding table arrangements weren’t set up as agreed, despite our reminders. When we asked to turn off the AC, they gave us a vague answer and didn’t even attempt to resolve it. In summary, they simply weren’t proactive at any point. They left us to deal with issues they should have handled, from organizing the seating plan to fixing technical issues. They seemed more interested in finding excuses than actually solving problems. The most frustrating part was how often we had to take over and ensure things went smoothly, while they barely lifted a finger. Their lack of initiative and attention to detail was completely shocking to me. Honestly, if I were in their position, I would be ashamed to call myself an event planner and charge that amount for such a subpar service. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this team to anyone. If they can’t handle a wedding with a team of six they clearly aren’t cut out for the job.

A wedding day is a deeply special occasion, ideally occurring only once in a lifetime. I was delighted and full of anticipation as I attended a three-day wedding celebration for my dear friends, who entrusted their special event to the Lumiere Events team. Each day was meticulously planned a year in advance by the couple. They even had regular meetings with the team in order to avoid unforeseen circumstances . While it is common for bigger events to encounter unexpected challenges that need to be addressed, unfortunately, there were far too many issues on this occasion. As a guest, it was disheartening to witness how many things did not go as planned, despite clear instructions being provided. I would not recommend this event management group to anyone, especially as they did not take responsibility for their shortcomings and often placed the blame on others. Thanks to the support of friends and family, the event was still a success, but it is clear that hiring this team could have been avoided.

We hired Lumiere Events for our 3-day wedding in Goa (October 2024), including a welcome party, haldi, and wedding day. Unfortunately, working with them was our single biggest regret. The one star is for Nehla and the initial help. They started out somewhat helpful, particularly with hotel coordination, so we felt we were in good hands. But as time went on, things steadily went south. Whenever issues came up, they’d pass the blame to the hotel or others instead of taking responsibility. For example, we informed them in December that we wanted a food tasting scheduled in February, and we specifically asked Lumiere to coordinate with the hotel. Both our families (eight people) flew to Goa for one day—during a busy period—just for this tasting. Two days before our flight, Lumiere told us we couldn’t do the tasting because it had been scheduled too late. They never admitted it was their oversight, but it clearly was. Despite this, we chose to set it aside and trust them. I even created a detailed PDF of exactly how I wanted the decor, essentially doing half their job for them, but on the wedding day, I saw decor that looked nothing like what I had specified. To make matters worse, a few items I personally designed and created “disappeared” after the events. Our guests had a wonderful time, but only because of our incredible bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family, who were running around handling everything. Meanwhile, the Lumiere team stood by with their arms crossed, just watching. Even teenagers did more than the event management team. We’ve never seen such unprofessionalism from event managers at any function. Rather than taking ownership, they always had an excuse ready, blaming someone else each time. After two poorly managed days, we didn’t want to risk the wedding day itself, so we relied on our own people to keep things on track. In the end, our wedding day only succeeded thanks to our family and friends. I’m not even going to start on the crazy high price we paid for such low-quality service. Lumiere Events was, without a doubt, the single biggest regret of our wedding.

@Lumiere events : Terrible experience! If i could i would give them no stars. My husband had booked them in the year 2019 for our wedding in the following nxt year which didn’t happend due to lockdown. However they were paid an advance amount of 80k. Our wedding was held at own residence due to restrictions and they weren’t available as it was triple lockdown bt they promised to refund the advance. It’s been 3 yrs still they haven’t refunded full amount. 50k is remaining to refund. We cannot let it go bcz It’s such a huge amount and i am posting this publicly bcz we hav given them 3 yrs time & that’s more than enough.

It was an amazing experience that we had with Lumiere. Nehla made sure that all our ideas were included and put forward her own ideas to make them better. The whole team put up great work to make our special day dreamlike. All 3 events were perfect. Thanks to the whole team.
