Over a hundred & Fifty years ago, the forefathers of Ch. Jagdish Chand arrived at the erstwhile princely state of Patiala. Legend has it that when one of the princes were to be married, it were the jewelsmiths and craftsmen of Jagdish Jewellers who were retained to create masterpieces that caught the fancy of the bride-to-be.

Jagdish Chand Ji, a highly knowledgeable, hardworking and humble being was the founder of Jagdish Jewellers. He was the first purveyor of diamonds in Punjab in the year 1960.
