Hieco by Simran Monga

Although Simran worked with me on my wedding stationary 2+ years ago, her efforts still standout in my mind. From my perspective, this was an especially complex assignment, driven by 1) the design elements – bringing together, completely from scratch, art deco architecture, scheme and color palette of a city flag, and highlighting my hometown and host city for the wedding; 2) tight timeframes (from distributing the Save the Date to the wedding was less than 5 months), 3) multiple points of coordination – invitation to signage print vendors, multiple changes to envelope designs, etc. Despite this complexity, Simran exceeded my expectations – her design was exemplary, and working with her was a joy. - Simran’s creativity in bringing together all the design elements took my breath away. Somehow, she managed to make the city of Kansas City fountain icon into an art deco element that also harkened to my parents’ wedding invitation from 40 years ago. My dad, who originally thought using the city icon would make everyone think they were receiving a city tax bill, choked up when he saw the amazing resemblance between the two designs - Simran took each of our ideas to another level – one of my favorite stationary items was our wedding program; this tri-fold narrated our ceremony but also allowed us to share a letter from us to our guests and remember loved ones with us in spirit on our special day. Simran thoughtfully designed each element of the program such that it could stand on its own but also be integrated into the overall look and feel - Simran was patient with us and with our vendors, working around the clock due to the time difference between Delhi and Chicago and ensuring each and every element was perfect I would highly, highly, highly recommend Simran to any bride!

Working with Simran was the one of teh best decisions during our wedding preparation last year. Since we did not have a wedding planner, everything from stationery to decor was done by me, and where would we be without Simran’s help and creativity. So thanks a lot for that!

Simran is a lot only a very professional and well trained designer but she is also a gem of a person. She designed my save the date, my invites, my welcome banner, my function boards, the wedding guide and pretty much everything that needed to be printed. She understood and internalised the aesthetics we wanted and was very open to feedback and recreating the prints till we were satisfied. Her work is what made my wedding really shine through, you can see how much care she puts in her work. All my guests and family appreciated the traditional yet contemporary aspect of her designs. I would recommend her to all my friends without doubt!

Simran designed money envelopes and gift tags for me, she did a fabulous job and I just loved her simple and classy designs. They're very different from the usual and I always get a compliment. Simran designed all aspects of my wedding stationary- from save the dates, wedding invites, one of a kind ludo interactive gift box to hangover kits, door hangers, welcome notes, thank you tags and the list goes on. From the get go, she understood what I wanted and then delivered something totally out of the box.
