Genie Events by Charu Kataria

My wedding was a dream thanks to Charu and Genie events. Till date, people get in touch asking me who my decorator was and that was 100% thanks to her. I was a very very fussy bride with very specific taste but she understood that in one go, and did an absolutely stunning job. She knows the ins and outs of her work - what kind of flowers work for what kind of look, what colors work in the day, how to make a wedding look non-regular. I am hugely thankful for her proactively vision and support. If you're like me, this is why you should hire her - 1. Insane attention to detail. Not a crystal out of place. All of the flowers absolutely fresh. She ensured I was updated and in agreement of an change that was made. 2. She's super responsible and approachable. Even though my wedding was in peak season, she didn't let the ball drop and was always a text or call away (I know. I was annoying). Last minute requests were all in. She personally checked everything on the day. 3. I showed her so many references from Pinterest that a lot of other decorators said couldn't be done. She found solutions and recreated everything I asked for. 4. There were little elements of personal surprises at every event - just because of the relationship! 5. Every single thing started on time even though our venue was a bit difficult and had booked functions before and after. She managed to hire people accordingly and ensure nothing got delayed at either end.

Hi tarun No one is 100% efficient but you touched almost 100% Every arrangements made by you was fabulous. Every thing was customised by me and you and you made everything as required. Everyone was praising. I had planned surprise for everyone and you wanted to surprise me. I was also surprised by your arrangements. Every functions haldi, mehandi, engagements and wedding were good. I got married in November 2017, & we hired Charu after dropping our original planner when charu reached us out and said that she is doing event in our venue before and after our date. I had SO MUCH faith but what a sham. The venue was done up so poorly, it seemed like it was done by a tent wala. 1) the stage was so feeble. My husband and I spent the entire wedding telling our guests to be careful because the stage was creaking and we were so scared that it won't stand. In the end, we couldn't do massive family portraits cause charu had to skimp on quality. 2) the baraat had arrived and charu's team was still working on stage and lighting 3) the quality of her products is so cheap. Her plastic flowers, which she'll go on and on about in her meeting with you, looks like they were bought from karol bagh for rs 10. 4) she doesn't even do everything. We had spoken about having a kallere ceiling on my mandap. Guess what?! She forgot. And there were no refunds or apologies. Save yourself!!

My very close friend was working with them and took over the whole project as his own! They did a great job of delivering things exactly as per what we wanted! The Mehendi event hosted by my sister and brother in law was a matter of special importance for the decor team and my friend went all out to fulfil all my multicolor decor desires!!Source
