Hi WedMeGood fam! Both my fiancee and I are wedding industry pros (we’re both photographers - and I run a brand called Twogether Studios) and we’ve been around the block when it comes to seeing all sorts of events first hand. So when it came to planning our own engagement party, we kwe thought we’d be pretty hard to impress. But Neha Mehrotra and her team at Foreign Wedding Planners took our small, intimate event to a whole new level! Our engagement was a cozy ‘backyard style’ gathering at home, with just 30 of our closest friends and family. And yet, Neha treated our little home celebration with as much dedication as if it were a full-scale wedding. From day one, her ideas on how to transform our space were exactly what we needed. She and her incredible in-house team worked tirelessly, putting in all the hours and more to make sure everything was perfect. Not only did she conceptualize and bring our decor vision to life, but she also helped us find top-notch vendors to pull it all together. The result? This was the second time working with Neha and her team. She planned my wedding ten years ago and this year, planned a renewal ceremony to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. Given the professionalism, creativity and specialness she organised our wedding with it was only ever going to be her who planned our renewal this time! We felt celebrated for the unique couple we are and Neha perfected creating events which balanced the style, decor and feel we wanted with details from our wedding a decade ago. She brought so many special little touches that respected our formal indian ceremony but with contemporary touches that provided a more relaxed and celebratory feel. Neha truly listened to every detail that was important to us, checking it all with us throughout yet keeping us away from any stress to ensure each event was not only perfectly setup but that we enjoyed it to the fullest. Despite the challenges of coordinating a wedding with us living in Bombay and Bangalore and our parents in Varanasi and Ranchi, Neha managed to create an enchanting and unforgettable celebration that captured the essence of Bodh Gaya The decor Neha designed for our wedding was nothing short of magical. She understood the significance of the Bodhi Tree and its deep-rooted connection to the town. We loved how with great care and creativity, she designed a stunning mandap that incorporated the essence of the Bodhi Tree. To infuse the ambiance with a touch of spirituality, She used raindrop crystals to symbolize purity and blessings. These shimmering crystals cascaded gently, evoking the image of sacred rain falling from the heavens, showering our union with divine grace. We were particularly moved by how Neha embraced the tradition of tying kalawa in the decor. This small but significant detail brought a sense of warmth and familiarity to the wedding, reminding us and our families of our shared customs and values. Planning a wedding in a town like Bodh Gaya, with limited resources, was undoubtedly a challenging task. However, Neha and her team's dedication and expertise shone through in every aspect of the event. Their ability to make the most of the available resources and transform the venue into a beautiful haven was truly remarkable.
