This is a review for a maternity photoshoot with DreamWorks photography (Sandeep). Once we finalized the photoshoot with Sandeep, he sent an email with terms and conditions which indicated an advance payment has to be made even before he shares the unedited (or raw) pictures. In accordance with that, we made the payment. The below are our grievances and issues with the quality of service provided: 1. He told us that we will get about 90-100 pictures once the shoot was complete. However, we got 56 pictures only and he said these are all. We took the energy to choose the top 30 pictures and later heard that there were ~150 pictures, so had to re-download the 150 pictures and reselect 30 pictures. What a good use of your client’s time! 2. The editing quality is super-inferior (to say the least). We had discussed several things during the photo shoot regarding how the edited pics will come out. However, none of these were done. It appears the photographer (Sandeep) does not have a sit-down session with the editor (we don’t know who it is) to discuss client comments / feedback / notes. The editor is working in silo who does not know what the client is expecting. And Sandeep makes promises the editor is not aware about. This is the biggest feedback because you will not get anything except for the raw pictures. That is for sure. In fact, my seven year niece can probably do better editing that what we got (they only make things brighter which a simple smart phone can also do). The only thing that was edited was to add a “Dreamworks” logo on the pictures. And mind you, they’ve forgotten to do that also in some pictures. 3. I told Sandeep that was not happy with his service and would post a review because I was not happy. He took it as a “threatening” and said he is not scared of threatening. If you want to deal with a photographer who considers a customer review a “threatening”, please go ahead and work with him. 4. Sandeep charges taxi fare to / fro the photoshoot location (which is fine if you agree to it). We had clearly communicated (and thankfully, it was on email) that we will not pay taxi fare. However, he send us screenshots of his Uber bill and asked us to reimburse. On sending him a screenshot that we did not agree to pay his taxi fare, he said “I missed that part of the email communication”. Finally, we did not have to pay it. But, it was interesting to see how Sandeep only reads the portion of emails that he sends (advance payment, only very basic editing, etc.). Please be very careful (in case he is the last photographer of the world and you have to go with him) to read the fine print of this email. Overall, highly dis-satisfied. Do not recommend working with him and spoiling memories of your special occasion by choosing this photographer. His ace card is to take all the money in advance, and you don’t have anything to demand good service. All you have is a chance to write a review, which he considers a threat. All the best in your search for another photographer.
