CALENDAR Events

Recently we had very bad experience while working with Calendar Events. We have booked them almost one year in advance and trusted them with the decoration for both of the sides. We have chosen the decoration after consulting with Bitan for days but they have failed miserably to deliver the decoration as promised. As evident from the attached pictures, the decoration for Mandap, Bridal Backdrop and Reception Stage is no way comparable to what we paid for. While we expected our decoration to be memorable and would mesmerize the guests, we had to face the embarrassment of answering questions like, "ei mondop ta thik ki korte cheyeche?" "reception er stage ta eto choto koreche keno?". In particular, the wedding mandap looked completely cartoonish. We didn't deserve this. All the planning just went into vain. Moreover, even if they promised to bring the canopies on the day of marriage, they failed to bring them and didn't disclose it till last minute (~6 PM). This ruined our catering decoration on the day of marraige and delayed everything. Their delay put unnecessary stress on us. Same thing happened on the day of reception. The buffet tables didn't arrive till 6 PM and the caterers could not complete decorating those within time because of the delay. Their service was so unprofessional there was no co-ordinator present on the reception venue after 2 PM. The co-ordinator left after 2 PM after promising everything would be delivered by 4 PM. After 3.30 PM, he stopped picking up calls. Because of this mismanagement, I had to rush to the reception venue and spend 3 hours there supervising their people so that they finish on time. Still, the decoration didn’t complete till 6.30 PM. This caused delays in our entire schedule and we missed things which we have planned. We already paid more than 85% of the quoted amount even before the day of the event which we regret now. As the decoration they have provided is not even 50% close to what we asked for, we decided to not pay the remaining. I would not recommend anyone to trust this group for their important events. They will ruin your day.

Pathetic is one word to use. Lucky enough to cancel the contract prior to the actual event after a horrible meet up at the wedding venue, glad that actually happened!! The leading lady is very arrogant without any reason and don’t even know professionalism. Only those ‘rich’ people will get attracted to the false promises and will suffer in the end. Unless they accept their faults and start to serve their customers better, end is near!
