From the bride Nayan " Since my Husband wasn't in India and neither was his family, I was involved in every detail when it came to planning the wedding

We wanted the Sangeet, to be a fun evening with our close families and friends. . The decor was more contemporary and was done up in turquoise and silver. For the wedding, I wanted the decor to have a more traditional feel to it. We went with colours in tones of white, yellow and orange. The wedding was a Sikh wedding held at a gurudwara, another challenge we were faced with was managing the lunch cuisines to suit the palate of our foreign guests . Basil Kitchen did a fabulous job with the food. It clearly was highlight for the event.

I personally am someone who doesn't at all like very heavy outfits and ours being a summer wedding, there were certain things that were a complete no no for me, . I wanted my sangeet outfit to be sexy, bright, fun and colourful and my friend Amrita Thakur designed my outfit for me. We went for a Royal Blue Lehenga with a lime green choli and a bright pink dupatta. My watermelon pink lehenga for the Gurudwara wedding was from Frontier Raas.
