I found Anuj by chance. I did not want that overload of make up so I decided to take a class from him (yes, he does that too). While teaching me - we got along so well - he is such a beautiful human being. He teaches with so much humility. His knowledge is immense. And most of all - he knows how to make you feel beautiful. Everyone needs that kind of a person in their lives. We got along so well that I asked him to come to Goa for my wedding and do my makeup. He was not just my make up person, but a pillar, friend and support. He made my hair look good as well - by explaining exactly what I wanted to the person who did my hair. Anuj is like a friend, confidant, psychotherapist, mind reader all wrapped into the package of a make up man. He made me laugh and lightened the mood when I was stressed. I would highly recommend him to everyone. At least take the make up class with him to see what he is made of.

I have seen Anuj Dogra's work at Bridal Asia - Delhi 2015. The "before and after" looks were a result of his patience with his subject as much as the experience and products he used. The subject was bubbling with excitement since from a non believer, she became a believer in his art. Therefore, she was full of questions regarding his technique and products. He was indeed very patient with her, and openely shared his knowledge which made me later question him.... Was the subject not likely to try out everything on her own and never return to him. He has a unique generous streak...which I suppose stems from his passion in this art and from his self confidence. A Makeover session with Anuj Dogra is just that - a Makeover - and the subject floated away quite literally as if he had just pumped in air beneath her wings. I was awestruck... I so wanted to experience that magic, however, I was there in an official capacity and couldn't partake the fun. But I told myself that if he ever conducts classes in makeup, I would be the first student to register.... As I don't even wear lipstick! Recently when I met him, he annouced he is starting classes! Ah... That's a dream come true!
