When speaking of top makeup artists in Delhi you can not leave out Ambika Pillai. She is a makeup artist based in Delhi who opened her first salon in 1995 and brand "Ambika Pillai" was born. She did the hair and makeup of the Reigning Miss World in 1994-95 Aishwarya Rai and there was no looking back since.
Ambika Pillai Designer Salon started small with just 20 highly skilled staff members who she trained to acquire world-class skills on hair, beauty and makeup. As the word of mouth spread Ambika Pillai started evolving into a very strong brand name. She is the only hair and makeup artist in India to do all the editions of India Fashion Week since inception and has worked with all the leading designers from India like Rohit Bal, Manish Arora, Sabyasachi, Suneet Varma, JJ Valaya,Tarun Tahiliani amongst others.
Besides being the most sought after name for every fashion related event in the capital, her turf extends internationally as well. She has done fashion shows in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Dubai, Mauritius, Switzerland etc. It was basically a natural progression for Ambika Pillai as a hair stylist and makeup artist to come up with her own range of products, which complement and go well with our Indian skin tones. They will soon be introducing the complete hair care, skin care and color cosmetics range.

The staff was really rude and didn’t care about customer satisfaction at all. Also their staff members behaviour was not acceptable,they in fact kept on taunting me for everything.Felt like handling them was a bigger responsibility than the kind of work they did.Not at all what was expected.

We had the greatest pleasure working with Ambika, her daughter Kavitha, and the entire team at the Haus Khas, Delhi salon. We had booked Ambika for my future-sister-in-law's bridal and sangeet hair and makeup, and myself, my mom, and elder bhabi with Kavitha and 2 other senior artists. Coming from Canada where the makeup is glamorous, but not caked on or over-the-top was honestly a huge fear. But I had seen Ambika's work in the past and hence was adamant that we only book her and her team. They did such a great job that now I am wanting to quickly get married so I can hire them for myself! Ambika, Kavitha and the entire team are truly outstanding and their professionalism and artistry is par excellent! Thanks again for making our experience such an amazing one! If you are a bride or part of the bride's or groom's entourage, I would highly recommend that you look into Ambika Pillai! It will be the best decision you make!

I booked Ambika Pillai for all my wedding functions so the rest of the functions were Make up done by her team and wedding day was to be done by her. However she cancelled last minute and a senior artist came. That part was very stressful though the makeup turned out well

The worst makeup that I could have got while paying just double the amount from any other saloon. The base was so bad and literally patchy I even don't use such a base in my daily makeup.. felt like crying on my wedding day.... They have nothing to offer u the whole makeup took just like 45min and u can't very well imagine the quality

The best make up artist in NCR I would say. I was ready on time and probably the best make up I have ever had. The team exactly knows their job. Also, Ambika Pillai herself is super good with the bridal make up. Thank you so much.
