If you ask us “What would be the one thing we want from a newly married bride?” – we would say access to her closet! Your bridal trousseau is the one thing that a bride selects with the utmost ease. No pressure on traditional only or just specific wedding-friendly colours. The sky is the limit! And when we spotted real bride Pallavi’s wedding pictures, where she looked like a million bucks, we knew her trousseau picks would be sublime! So, we asked her for her top trousseau picks and here's what she dished.
Outfit 1: Floor Length Anarkali
This pink outfit is from Mint Blush Designs and the reason why I picked it up was because of its colour and fabric. It was so comfortable to wear and the colour really complimented my complexion. I wore it for one of my Pooja’s before Haldi.
Outfit 2 – Unique Grey Meets Silver Sharara Set
This outfit was also from Mint Blush Designs The sharara sets are the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary style and it was exactly what I was looking for in a small dance party event we had before starting our wedding functions.
Outfit 3 – Classic Organza Saree
This outfit is from Pita Nila . The moment I wore this saree, I knew I would wear it for one of my Pooja‘s before Haldi. Organza sarees are traditional but this one brings out modernity & elegance. It was perfect for a day time event. The stunning flower work complimented a lot with the whole aesthetic of my haldi function.
Outfit 4 – Timeless Georgette Saree
This beautiful georgette saree is from the label Inaara & I wore this for a welcome lunch for our guests at our destination wedding. It was perfect for daytime, spring, and summer season, bright, and beautiful floral design with a variety of hues. This was just what I was looking for a perfect welcome lunch saree
Outfit 5 – Custom Made Suit
I got this fabric from Chandni Chowk & got it custom-made. The colour & the craftsmanship were just perfect for dinner with our guests after the wedding. It really complimented the whole look that I had in my mind for our first dinner. It was modern, timeless and elegant.
Outfit 6 – Indo Western Drape Skirt & Cape Set
This outfit is again from Mint Blush Designs I wore this for Dhol night with our family and friends before heading to our destination Wedding. The whole look was a perfect fusion of elegance and modernity, the crop top was embellished with dense Resham thread and other stones. The entire look was a beautiful mix of indo-western style.
Outfit 7 – Classic Suit
This outfit is from Ridhi Suri. I wore it the next day of the wedding while we were heading back home. It was beautifully designed, and the detail worked especially on Chunni, the cotton fabric and its colour. It was versatile, breathtaking & had a timeless elegance. It is perfect for a new bride.
Outfit 8 – Lightweight Saree
This outfit is from the House of Dori. I wore it at a pooja after marriage. As a new pahadi bride we have to visit a temple on the first day & seek blessings. The colours really complimented the whole Indian look. I got so many compliments for the colour contrast between the blouse and saree. It was easy to wear and lightweight. It was a classic Indian saree!
Outfit 9 – Sharara Set
This outfit is from Almirah By Deepika. I wore it at my pug-pheras. The handwork was exceptionally beautiful, and the fabric was light and comfortable on the skin. The fitting was just perfect. As a new bride, the outfit went really well with the overall look.
