BY Sakshi | 03 Jan, 2017 | 16847 views | 3 min read

Wearing something along with your lehenga on the waist is quite the trend now... one we should give credit to our South Indian brides for! But it's not limited to something traditional and gold. From modern waist belts on the wedding to even floral jewellery ones on the Mehendi- there are so many options which not only look great, but also help keep your dupatta in place!

Kamarbandh or Traditional Waist Belt

South Indian brides look gorgeous with their traditional gold waist belts, and it is a look that can be combined with a lehenga as well! Just make sure to match the work on your kamarbandh with the jewellery you'll be wearing. Gold finish with gold jewellery and kundan or polki finish with similar jewellery.

A belt that exactly matches the lehenga and blends in, but holds the dupatta in place is also a cool idea to show off that narrow waist of yours!

Thin chains also make for great bridal waist belts- whether they are with a saree or a lehenga! Simple yet so elegant!

A zardozi belt- whether it's subtle or contrasting with the outfit also looks great- lends some sort of royalty to the outfit!

If you want to be an offbeat bride but don't want a very different look, then a subtle way to do that could be to wear a leather belt with the lehenga- choose an interesting buckle and stand out from the crowd!

Floral Jewellery Belt
