Everything these days looks like you've seen it before. Last year, we had Kaleere Decor and even Gota tassles to fall back on. But this year, though it's still officially yet to begin for weddings, is already on a roll with a few innovative and interesting trends that are blowing our minds! We picked 7 cool ones that are so new, you would have not seen them yet ( in all their glory) at weddings.
Botanicals Reinterpreted

We know botanicals are big and that the whole world is wooing PantoneGreenery but how does one interpret this trend in new modern ways? We got an answer from Devika Narain's Insta which shows a pretty easy and smart way to use botanicals both physically and figuratively. She used botanical prints on the decor and added a whole wall of green to keep the mandap minimal and effortless. We love!Hope your Sunday was as bright and happy as mine! #weddingsbydevikanarain #devikanarain

Hanging Overhead Trellis On Tables
Decor: Atisuto. Photography: The Wedding Salad We are going to see more and more tables with hanging florals overhead. This lets the table stay clear of obstructive vases , and facilitates conversation while the overheard vines create a conversation starter.Food Decor
Donut walls were big in 2016, but 2017 is going to see more and more of food being incorporated in decor. From Candy floss, to lollipops and cupcakes. If it looks pretty, use it to decorate (as well as eat). Another big trend is going to be hanging food- food bits hanging from a trellis that guests can snatch up and pop in your mouthAll white decor
Photography: The Wedding Conteurs Of course our weddings are a riot of colour. Better then, to keep an absolutely neutral palette for gorge photos. All white mandaps or white and gold mandaps are going to be HUGE and we can see why. They let the outfits pop and create a beautiful, calming visual for photographs.Relaxed, Floor Seating
Photography: The Wedding Salad There was a time when Indian weddings had stuck up seating and maharani chairs. More and more now, floor seatings are the preferred form of wedding decor specially for smaller pre-events like mehendis or welcome brunches.Retro Marquee Lighting
This year marquee lighting is big and personalised quotes are big big big!
Industrial Chic: Example-Egg Beater Hangings
This year is also about using quaint and cute items as decor. Very unassuming and unusual. These eggbeaters were such a cool idea. Once you place tea lights in, it's such a riot! Did you spot any cool ideas at weddings these days? Point us in that direction!
