Make a playlist that screams "Indulgence"
Ok am exaggerating but slathering on the soap in slow motion while sitting in a bubble bath is what girly dreams are made of. So make a thoughtful yet compelling "soak list" that goes from slow and builds up to an amazing evening. Music can really make a difference girls. So get that Apple Music or Saavn Playlist on and keep it tight and smart with your album choices.
Prep your body with some body oil before
Hydrates your body like nothing else, and these days you have some pretty cool body oils that are not sticky and messy! Self-massage or get one in your room for relaxation and hydration! We like the Bath and Body Oils from Kama Ayurveda and L'Occitane- they're amazing!
Draw the right bath
Some simple tips to ensure you're doing it right-
- Set aside at least 30 minutes for this. Anything less and it's not a bath, and might not be able to calm you down- it'll be more like sitting in hot water for a few minutes.
- Grab yourself a drink too! A glass of wine or champagne goes well with a bath! Wellness experts say tea too, makes things work. Chamomile or Peppermint tea can really put you in the right mood. Hmmmm.
- Make sure the water is not too hot or too cold. It has to be comfortable, but tilting a little bit towards warmer than cooler.
- Put some rose petals in it for some extra pampering. You could even add a few litres of milk if you want.
- Light a candle or a diffuser with your fave scent to let the aroma soothe you.
- Keep your robe, slippers and a towel handy and ready to grab as soon as you get out. Fuzzy robes with monograms - mandatory!
- Also, scary rule: No phones. Yes, you don't to Instagram everything girls. Just chill.
Use the right bath products
Don't pour loads of shower gel in the bath to set it up- use the right products like a bubble bath, bath salts or a bath bomb! Here are some products we highly recommend in the bath:
- For unmatched luxury, try the Chanel No. 5 The Foaming Bath!
- Lush Bath Bombs
- Aveda Stress Fix Soaking Salts
- Keihl's Lavender Foaming Relaxing Bath with Sea Salts and Aloe
- Manufaktura Home Spa, Prague, Dead Sea Salt or Spring Bath Salt for a luxurious bath.
- Spa Ceylon and Soulflower has some nice bath products if you're looking for a budget option.
Slap on a pack or sheet mask
You know how you never have patience for that half an hour mask? Well, this is the time to get that done! Slap it on before stepping into the tub and wash it off later after you're done.We really like the GlamGlow SuperMud that really leaves you with a glow!
Use hydrating under eye patches
So most packs and masks ask you to avoid the eye area, but these are made for that! Lay your hands on some effective undereye patches, and let them work while you relax in your bath! We really like the Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Hydra Gel Eye Patches that are pure luxury!
Exfoliate your body
Most of us do exfoliate our face once in a while, but we are guilty of ignoring our body. Use a body scrub to slough off those dead skin cells and say hello to bright new skin! WMG likes the Forest Essentials Body Polishers that are mild yet effective!
Use a luxurious body oil after
Yep, something that's gonna make you smell divine and feel like a princess! We like the Aromatherapy Associates Relax Deep Bath and Shower Oil and Dior J' adore Huile Divine Rose De Grasse which are totally luxurious!
Didn't just reading that relax you a bit? Well, now use these tips and go make plans to pamper yourself!
