An office romance, a long distance relationship, an airport proposal and a cross-culture wedding - doesn't that seem like the plot of a Bollywood rom-com? But that's what sums up Shreya and Ramandeep's real life story. Much like their filmy kahaani, their shaadi festivities were also super rangeen! From games like air hockey and ludo at their Haldi function to a dhamaakedaar flashmob entry for their Cocktail - the couple ensured all their nuptial events were full of vibrance and fun. Not to mention, the much-in-love duo looked absolutely adorable together and the bride served some very pretty bridal looks. Check 'em out!
Meet Shreya and Ramandeep
How Raman and I met is actually fate, because we have completely contrasting personalities, he is an introvert and I am an extrovert. We used to work together, and we became best friends before anything else. He used to sit opposite me in office, and to everyone's surprise the first conversation we had was on "Quantum Physics" (even though it has nothing to do with our work) and that's how our office romance started. We dated for 7 years before we decided to get married. Almost more than half of our relationship has been long distance, with him living in London and Dubai while I was in India. Everyone used to tell us, you won’t survive a long distance. But our love was so strong, that we made it and we are happily married today. Raman first decided to surprise me on my birthday last year and specially flew to India from Dubai to directly meet my dad to ask for my hand for marriage. It was the most beautiful surprise, but then even I decided to surprise him and proposed him before his flight back to Dubai at the Delhi airport. The airport has always been a very special place for us – with all the sad goodbyes and the happiness when he used to come back to India. We have spent lot of time at the airport, so I thought there was no better spot to propose than the airport. Even though it was a cross culture marriage, our parents were our true cheerleaders and immediately started with the planning. Raman's parents stay in Canada, so they never met each other until 2 months before the wedding, but this was never a challenge and we had the most beautiful time planning everything.

From The Bride:
We had our dream wedding. It was a 3 day destination wedding at Hotel Rajhans, Surajkund. We wanted it to be a very intimate affair where all our loved ones come together and celebrate us. It was an endless party (that’s how all our friends define it). Even though it was a cross-culture wedding, we incorporated rituals from both the cultures and both the families came together to make it the most memorial days of our life. We didn't follow the stereotypes and defined our own rules for the wedding, we had a flash mob entry for our Cocktail, there was no exchange of gold, a happy vidai, a game themed Haldi with air hockey, ludo etc.
Vendor Reviews
Photographer: Banjara Studios
It was the most smooth experience working with the entire team. We never felt overwhelmed with all the photos, they gave us all the time we needed to enjoy the functions and at the same time captured all our beautiful moments. Ashish the lead photographer, gave his great suggestions and reached out to us before the wedding to understand our expectations and the shots we want.
Bridal Outfits (Cocktail & Wedding): Rimple and Harpreet
Sadly I was never able to try my wedding outfits while selecting them and had to do the entire process virtually due to Covid. The Rimple and Harpreet team was so patient, they showed me multiple options, answered all my queries and provided their full assistance and assurance while taking my measurements virtually. To be honest, I was super scared for the final fittings. But to my surprise, everything was made perfectly and there was no need for any alterations. Nitu at RAH was amazing, she helped us with the whole process of selecting outfits for me and my family.
Other Outfits: Archna and Anisha
This was one of the best decisions I made. For some of our functions we wanted to get customized outfits. Archna and Anisha were super helpful, we sat down with them with some ideas while they had proactively prepared multiple options for design, embroidery, cloth material for us to choose from. They made the process of designing the outfits so easy for us. Their team helped us design Raman’s Mehendi outfit, my wedding dupatta and some outfits for our family.
Wedding Planner: GlamSham Events
Tanuj and Gaurav were our PoC for planning the entire event, and they delivered beyond my expectations. They were super involved in the entire planning process, patiently listening to my ideas and giving amazing suggestions. A week before the wedding Tanuj had some ideas to change the entire décor for Cocktail, because he was not confident how our initial plan would look like. And the end result was just amazing, and everyone was in awe of the décor and how the events were managed.
Bridal & Guest Makeup (Haldi & Mehendi): Pallavi Sachdeva
An upcoming MUA in Delhi NCR, she is one of my absolute favorite. She helped me get ready for Mehendi and managed hair and makeup for my entire family throughout the two days without any delays. Everyone was really happy with her and her team.
