Varun Bahl has always been consistent with his work - his powerful floral vintage garden theme was a sure-fire winner last year. And now, he upped the ante with some great ideas and recreated those florals with a new touch. We're totally loving the attention to detail and the peachy goodness his colour palette veers towards. A look at all the amazing looks we loved at the India Couture Week 2016 and why they really matter to the minimalistic bride!
Special thanks to ANX Media by Anchal Seth for these beautiful pictures and her dedication to capturing couture in all its glory!
Over the years Varun Bahl somehow managed to keep his collection fuss-free and interesting with all the subtlety a designer can manage. His ideas for the new age bride were simple - just recreate the colour palette - go with peaches, dusty blues, sea foam and deeper reds, one that pleases every kind of bride. The floral embellishments are his biggest draw and that makes all those spring brides in us so so happy. This time, his collection titled Fancy Bouquet was a tribute to the sweet and practical bride who is now beautifully embracing her own whimsy.
What we loved about his collection - straight up, those pretty delicate dupattas in floral embroidery that can go as separates on any lehenga. The cape and peplum blouses along with the nice colour change into ink blue. When sheers and florals meet up, it's magic, right? That's where Varun scores. This collection especially is great for those who like a minimalistic yet striking outfit at her pheras, for day weddings and afternoon Mehendis. Even the men's collection got it right with dusky rose separates and easy peachy kurtas.
