Unique wedding flower trends to watch out for in 2015

Whats blooming people? Apart from the onset of the wedding season here, we feel that these are going to be blooming across Indian weddings   in the coming year.   Oversized Florals: International wedding websites have been going crazy over oversized, paper mache and artificial flowers in wedding bouqets and while we were wondering how those oversized flowers would make their way into Indian weddings, we spotted these pictures from a mehendi ceremony. Large, oversized artificial flower centerpieces on each table and also as a backdrop to your photobooth You could use these as your backdrop to your stage, near your mandap or even the entrance area. The best part- artificial flowers are cheaper than natural ones and while some of them can look tacky, when you do them in an oversized manner, they get an edge or cool factor about them which looks funky and modern 2-floral-trends-2015-Indian-weddings (3)5-floral-trends-2015-Indian-weddings (8)

Suspended Flowers: Flowers in baskets, suspended from the ceiling, from the mandap or anywhere else they can hang from. Forget wrapping your mandap in flowers, just hang little buckets of flowers from them! Some of the prettiest decor we have seen involve cane baskets or wooden crates like this one suspended from the ceiling with flowers. Dont want to do baskets? Do birdcages with flowers, suspended from above, or glass bottles with flowers suspended over your dining table.  Better yet just hang bouqets upside down from your mandap ceiling 6-floral-trends-2015-Indian-weddings (6) 4-floral-trends-2015-Indian-weddings (2)

This table has a super unique setting with flowers suspended from the trellis above, upside down!

Spilling over Florals: You may have already spotted this at a wedding or two. A small matki with flowers flowing out of it, or a table centerpiece as a glass bowl kept on its side, with spilt out flower petals or even a lantern stuffed with flower petals overflowing from the side. You could make a super 1-floral-trends-2015-Indian-weddings (5)
