Meet Hitakshi and Arnav
Nearly a decade ago, Arnav, a mischievous 17-year-old, spotted me at an engineering coaching institute in Delhi. I was a focused 16-year-old, absorbed in my studies. Arnav, with a friend who knew me from school, couldn’t believe that I could be known by his friend. To prove him wrong, his friend yelled my name on a busy street, marking our first encounter. As we talked and shared late-night chats, our different natures bridged. Initially, I saw him as just another chapter, but his serenade of “Aa hi jaata hai jispe dil aana hota hai” won me over. Our mutual love for old Hindi classics, a passion I inherited from my father, deepened our connection. Fate seemed to play its part when Arnav’s elder sister turned out to be a new friend of my sister. When I introduced Arnav to my mother, her playful comment about “Delhi boys being clever” and his witty reply, “But aunty, I’m from Jammu,” won her instant approval and laughter. Our love story unfolded like a Bollywood classic!

From The Bride:
Our wedding, as cliché as it may sound, encapsulated the very essence of our nine-year love tale. Even when we were just kids, uncertain about our future as a couple, I always shared with Arnav my vision of our wedding, emphasizing that it wouldn't be a carnival affair.. I felt it amidst the crisp winter air, with guests wrapped in soft tapestry shawls, finding warmth in bon-fires, intimate gatherings and engaging in heartfelt conversations filled with memories, laughter, and playful banter, all over steaming chai, fragrant coffee, and crispy pakodas. Whereas Arnav desired a regal setting and intoxicated guests dancing to 90s tunes. The D-day had arrived! The childhood sweethearts were finally tying the knot! Surreal! Guests described it as a wholesome wedding, and I, the bride, was deemed the happiest and most carefree they had ever seen.
Vendor Reviews
Venue: Welcome Hotel The Savoy, Mussoorie
We got married at Savoy on 23.11.23, with a few pre-wedding functions beforehand. Despite the winter season, we were uncertain how the wedding would turn out in the mountains, but the Savoy team exceeded our expectations. Apart from the obvious warm hospitality, a moment that stands out is during my sundowner mehendi, when I was shivering as the sun was setting. A thoughtful team member offered me a shawl, which brought such warmth and comfort. The food was amazing, and they have multiple venue locations perfect for hosting various functions. It was a memorable experience that we’ll cherish forever.

Nitin, Shanaya and his team felt like family, yet they were highly professional. Their creativity turned ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. They paid attention to every detail and adapted seamlessly to each situation. The choice of songs in our wedding video matched our vibe and enhanced the emotions of the celebration. We’re grateful for their talent and dedication, which gave us a beautiful collection of memories to cherish forever.
