One is a pre-wedding shoot and the other was done post - but both explored noir themes and an abstract storyline. See them and tell us what you think!
SHOOT #1: Sahil & Nippu by Prism Lens Photography
"This shoot was developed keeping in mind the theory of 'Yin-Yang'. The theory of Yin and Yang is about how opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary and interconnected. That's why people say - opposites attract, now we hear that they actually compliment each other too. Therefore the shoot is about how this couple complete each other. In this series Yin (bride) narrates the story of how she feels complete with Yang (groom). Few ideas that this shoot gives forth:- "I always wanted to be free but I was raised to be Ladylike. You came into my life like a breeze and blew away my inhibitions. With you I am free, I am ME"
- "I had a secret I couldn't comprehend. It's like a little hole in my soul that made my existence incomplete and you came around filling the dark in my heart with your light. You completed me."
- "As the moonlight brightened my lonely heart, I wondered whether I'll ever see you again. You left without saying much, with a silent promise of eternal love. We truly are inseparable" say Prosun and Bhakti of Prism Lens Photography .
SHOOT #2: Meet Gita & Suresh by Shambhavi K Photography
"I recently completed a couple's post-wedding shoot with a "noir-touch". The couple, Gita & Suresh, had got married in October 2015 (I had covered their wedding as well). When I shared the idea of doing a "different" post-wedding shoot with them, they were on-board almost immediately. The key to a noir-inspired shoot lies in dramatic lighting and sharp styling of the subjects. This shoot follows a simple storyline of a boy meets girl and they fall in love. We did the shoot in the alleys of Hauz Khas Village. Make up and styling was done by the couple themselves, with references from images that I had shared with them earlier" explains Shambhavi of Shambhavi K Photography . What do you think of the shoots? Is there a hidden meaning in them? Would you try them? Tell us!
