Now here is a Telugu wedding which is seriously inspirational, especially for those who are looking to add a little bit of jazz to their traditional wedding! Ramya and Jayanth planned their Hyderabad wedding sitting abroad down to every detail with the help of their family and WedMeGood, and we love how nice their wedding looks! From a glam pre wedding with gorgeous outfits to a fun Haldi Holi and a beautiful serene ceremony, everything about their wedding seems effortlessly elegant. Full marks to Akshit Jaiswal Photography for capturing the moments on the lens beautifully.
Meet Ramya and Jayanth
Our first meeting at a café was definitely one to remember, not only was it the beginning of our love story, but also a clash in outfit choices. I was wearing a beautiful white kurthi, coming fresh from the temple, while Jayanth was in Deadpool t-shirt, shorts and a backward Lakers hat, quite the first impression – which somehow worked. We were both new to the city and while exploring the city together we found our biggest treasure – Love. While they say opposites attract, it is our common enjoyment of people watching, being outdoors and active, and trying new things that have really brought us closer. After a couple years of getting to know each other, Jayanth finally bent the knee and proposed to me in America’s wine country over a glass of some sparkling Rose, to toast to his sparkling fiancé.

From The Bride:
2/19/2022 was our wedding date. It was a vision of not just ours, but of our families as well, so choosing a location of our wedding was easy, both our hometown, Hyderabad, India. We wanted our entire family to be part of the planning because the running theme of our wedding was “togetherness.” We started the research process on the WedMeGood app for all aspects of the wedding, from photography to wedding venue. We wanted a fun and glamorous, yet traditional wedding. Our Wedding kicked-off with a sangeet, which was full of lights, sparkles and lots of dancing (fueled by our “bar bar dekho” bar). Moving to the traditional touch, we had our haldi followed by pellikodku (making of the groom) and pellikuturu (making of the bride) in our respective homes. Jayanth’s family chose the traditional colors of greens, yellow and orange marigolds while we (the bride side) chose shades of green, pink and white. The celebration continued into the mehndi night where Jayanth and his family surprised me with a dance on my favorite song - “sajan ji char aaye.” Our third day was a fun-filled haldi holi extravaganza. It was a day of dhols, bright yellow colors, ice golas and holi powder, which also doubled as hair color. Haldi holi was a great event for family members to take a breather and really enjoy with our new families. This led to a very emotional yedurkola event of our two families coming together. Finally the day our wedding day. It was all about love so the theme of the wedding was reds, pinks and floral. Every moment felt surreal to me and Jayanth. It was a traditional Telugu wedding which went on for 8 long hours!! But, every minute felt so special as we were tying the knot and making a promise to love and care for each other for the rest of our lives. In that one day we relieved day 1 of our meeting and the last 2.5 years of us finding our path to our special day on 2/19/2022. Our wedding day was a testament to stars aligning and universe bringing two people from different parts of the world together. It truly left us believing that “marriages are made in heaven.”

Makeup Artist: SohTouch Makeup Artistry & Tamanna Rooz
Sohini from SohTouch Makeup Artistry did my makeup for the Sangeet and wedding day. If you like a natural makeup look for your big event with a touch of glamour she is the person to go. She is very patient and made me feel beautiful for all the events. Tamana’s makeup team did my makeup for the pre-wedding shoot. It was a 16 hour day and my makeup looked fresh and vibrant the entire day. Jai from “Jai makeup artist” did my mehendi look and did the makeup for my bride’s maids at my wedding. He helped me explore different hair style options and gave me a different look for my mehendi event keeping in mind the natural glamour look. He is fun and helps you enjoy the the process as well.
Decor: Moment Knitters
They did the decor for all our 5 events. They were very patient in listening to the vision I and my family had for all our events. We worked in different time zones and the entire team was very accommodating of our needs and times. They did a fusion of traditional and modern decor looks for all our events. They even surprised us with a few extra touches of their own for our event. The Sangeet especially was loved by all with the beautiful neon lights, mirchi lights and light touch of florals. They are very friendly and take personal care with all events to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Bridal Outfits
Most of our wedding outfits were designed and customized by the Thumka team. They truly take a lot of time to understand your vision for your dream outfit. I was in America when I was discussing my outfits with the Thumka team and only had 2 weeks left before the wedding from the time I reached India. I must say that Jay and I made the right choice in trusting them to get out outfits done on time exactly as we had wanted with minimal alterations. I felt beautiful in every outfit which was a blend of my vision and mostly thumb team’s creativity. I would recommend Thumka to anyone looking to wear something unique.
Groomwear
Panchawati Silks designed the Groom's outfits. The entire team took extra time to pay attention to every detail for design, style and colors. We even got Jayanth's reception outfit designed by them right after the wedding as we had our reception in the US a few months later. The outfit was made to perfect fit with high quality fabric.
