Your honeymoon is forever- no matter how many trips you both have or will take together, your honeymoon will always be special! And the icing on the cake has to be getting some photos to treasure- so here are some practical tips and tricks to get some superb photos- whether for Instagram or to cherish forever!
Invest in a good camera for professional-looking photos

DSLRs might look complicated, but most of them are usually not. And if you want photos that look professional, then your phone camera won't cut it. Of course, if you just want good photos and don't really care about the clarity so much, then your phone is as good as any! And remember to carry extra memory cards for your camera! If you are going to a beachside place, you can also consider investing in a waterproof camera like a GoPro for cool underwater photos. Sun, sand, and surf are not your camera's friends, so if you've got a digital camera, make sure you've got a case that'll survive your trip!
Do some homework!

So when you do research for your itinerary, also Google the pretty places around where you can get some delightful photos. Another great idea is to check the hashtag on Instagram of the place, and see what kind of photos others are clicking there to take some inspiration from!
What you wear will also matter!

Dont carry a lot of blue when travelling to a beachy place, and the same way, don't carry a lot of green or white to a hillside or snow-laden place. Carry colours that will make your photos pop! White looks great against the blue of the beach, as do bright colours like yellow and red! Pack accordingly so that your outfits can infuse a pop of colour to your photos!
Timing is important when outdoors

Standing right under the soon at noon isn't a good idea- the ideal time of day to take good outdoor photos is early or late (before 10 AM or after 3 PM), when the sun is at a low angle. You can better contrast and saturation then. The sun should be behind the photographer and not the subject- or you can get creative with it like this shot!
Make friends- or use the camera timer!

Photography options get a little limited when it's only the two of you! But instead of just getting individual photos or selfies, make some friends who can click some nice photos of you guys, and return the gesture too! Or you can ace that timer function on your camera- requires a little more effort, but will be worth it!
Click photos inside the water- not just outside it!

Underwater photos look amazing, and are majorly trending these days! Whether it is a half and half photo under and above the water or completely under it, it looks amazing, and is something you should highly consider clicking!
Get creative!

Not every shot has to be a scenery or with both or one of you in it! Get a little creative once in a while with some interesting shots that look beautiful! Also, don't just stick to the same angles, experiment with new ones like low and top angles, which will give you plenty of options to choose from later.
Don't forget the candid shots!

Candids are sometimes more beautiful than even the most prettily posed shot! Keep the camera handy and capture candid moments of better half to have some genuine heartfelt photos!
Invest in a photographer if you can!

There are a lot of couples roping in photographers for a professional photographer for their honeymoon photos, and think about it- it is a very good idea! Its something that will last forever, and probably have prettier photos than your pre wedding shoot! You can choose to rope in a local photographer if you don't want to fly one down all the way.
But...
Remember that photos are not everything at your honeymoon, the experience is what matters more. We get so lost these days in getting that 'perfect Instagrammable shot' that it becomes our priority over everything else! So don't remember to have fun and really cherish each other's company as well!
Well, you dont need a photographer for your honeymoon. But ensure you book the best wedding photographer for all the wedding functions!
