This Whimsical Wedding In Koh Samui Swept Us Off Our Feet!

There is something about this wedding which just makes you fall in love with it. Everything about it was whimsical, and it looked like a magical moment shared between the couple and the guests. With a picturesque backdrop of the hills for one ceremony and the beach in the other, this couple made the most of their beautiful wedding venue in Koh Samui. Everything looked like it fit together- with gorgeous, inspirational bridal looks and decor- none of which were over the top, and very very tasteful! After taking the traditional route with her bridal looks, we love how Sharanya brought out the glam with her reception look, which made us do a double take! Meet Sharanya and Vinay
We met on a dating app called Hinge in Australia.
Wedding Morning
The wedding morning was personal to us because this is where Vinay and I created individualized vow booklets for each other which we revealed to each other and the guests after all the pre-rituals. We had also made wedding booklets explaining each step of an Indian wedding to our Australian and American guests. For this event, the mandap was placed on an infinity pool surrounded by flowers in pinks and whites with our guests dressed in shades of Pastel.
Wedding Evening
The wedding evening included the tying of the mangalya and rituals to symbolise matrimony during the sacred time. Similar to the morning ceremony, Vinay and I created wedding booklets for the evening wedding ceremony. The theme here was love and this was central in our booklets where we featured disney love quotes and our decor in shades of pinks and reds over the view of the water in Koh Samui. Vinay and I were also dressed in shades of red. In this instance, Vinay retailored a family heirloom as his dhoti.
Reception
The reception was held on Intercontintental's beach side lawn in Koh Samui. The theme for this event was a touch a purple in line with the decor which featured moments of purple through our sweet heart table and guest tables. The vision was to create a magical garden moment. Vinay and I entered this event on horses during sunset. This day was the most emotional as our family and closest friends had speeches prepared. Vinay and I also had speeches for each other which made the night extremely emotional. We ended our night with fireworks and then moved onto the afterparty.
From The Bride:
Our wedding took place on March 3, 2024. Apart from everything else, Vinay and I had created bespoke cocktails and cocktail names for all our events. We also ensured we had a logo, glow signs, welcome bags and specific merchandise for the wedding.
