A fun haldi, a bride who's mother designed her wedding gown, and an adorable love story, this is truly a dream wedding. We absolutely loved the breezy outfit the bride wore at the haldi, however it was her gorgeous wedding gown that stole our breath. Her train alone was a breathtaking sight! The wedding had fun elements, like the Game Of Thrones wedding cake, or the absolute love that was clearly visible in the glow on the couple's faces. Riva Beach Resort, Mandrem, Goa was the perfect backdrop for this dreamy wedding, while photography by The Picture Patch Photography ★ 4.9 y was the cherry on top!
Meet Robin & Lianne
Lianne tells us how she met Robin, and their adorable love story, "He, a popular Indian footballer, Me, a writer - both with similar dreams and tastes. We met at a night out, a lot of dancing and conversation lead to our first official date few days later. From then on we kept in touch, constant travels for his football matches back and forth to surprise breakfasts back home in Mumbai. Eventually it lead to a secluded hill station proposal at midnight!"
The Haldi
The Wedding
From The Bride:
We wanted to create a fun loving family and intimate affair with our friends. So the details and planning were kept in mind for comfort. So, we actually had no wedding planner! Robin and I decided to create a boho beach glam themed wedding! We did everything personally as we wanted to make it special and unique. We love Mandrem beach, we once went for a stroll on the beach and fell in love with it, thus decided to get married on it! It’s our favourite spot with untouched sands, away from tourists in the north. We sourced Local. From plum cake to DJ/MC services, everything was local. A lot of Pinterest & Instagram references, customisations and online shopping were used to help us create our quaint wedding! Who better than family to create the set up! Robin’s elder sister Sunaina Singh (Event Affair) created and conceptualised the decor aspect. From white dream catchers to fur seats! It was all boho glam! The best part was Sunaina (Events Affair Decor) knew exactly what we wanted since I flooded her with multiple references! She understood us as a couple the best and did an amazing job from the white fur seats and dream catchers to flower arrangements. We had 2 cakes. First, a white traditional Christmas wedding cake with a beach mermaid and football theme. Second, a game of thrones (huge fans!) 5 tier cake with the dragon, eggs, garden flowers and the Targaryen fire crown! For the nuptials, my mother customised my Church Cathedral gown with appliqués and crystals with a detailed Angel cut veil. My lace bolero and flower bouquet was also customised by my mother. The Cinderella crystal shoes were a highlight. My queen Tiara was a vintage gold and crystals piece from an antique store. For jewellery I wore my mothers wedding set that matched my crown beautifully. Wedding shoes are from Jimmy Choos. For the reception, I wore a customised Krésha Bajaj couture ivory glass beaded mermaid gown. The trail was made of layers of tulle. I customised a minimalistic Tiara with sea shells. My mother in law gifted me a contemporary rose gold choker set that complimented my gown. Robin wore Customised Raymond and Dubai based Gentlemen’s Community vintage sunglasses. Simone from wedding and warpaint, kept my makeup minimal. Since it was a white wedding I wanted the makeup to be classic and subtle. Our photography team The Picture Patch Photography stuck to our vision and tried to get the best church shot as I was obsessed with doing a full portrait.
