Who doesn't love a bride in a Banarasi saree? We know it's a look we are absolute suckers for, given how timeless and classic the look is. While we have seen numerous brides in the red Sabyasachi Banarasi saree, here is a bride who rocked the same one in burnt orange, and we are digging this look too! Poorvi Goel and Chris Utecht had their wedding functions all over Philadelphia including the Museum of Art, and this is a wedding worth scrolling through!
Meet Poorvi and Chris
My name is Poorvi and I met my husband Chris in January 2018 on a dating app called The League. Our first date was at a charming old school library bar called the Manhattan Cricket Club in the Upper West Side of New York City, and my first look at his wide, rakish smile only confirmed that he was the one.

Reception
From The Bride:
I am from Lucknow in India and my husband is from Philadelphia and our wedding was held in Philly over July 22-24 according to Hindu and Western traditions in iconic locations across the city: the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Kimmel Center and the Logan Hotel. We picked these venues because most of our 140 guests were flying from all over the US, India, UK, and the Middle East, and we wanted to craft a weekend that would give them a peek into the best of Philly. I wanted the family's Indian outfits to be designed by leading designers from my country to showcase my pride in Indian fashion; my bridal sari was designed by Sabyasachi, my husband's sherwani by Anita Dongre, and my reception lehenga was designed by Falguni Shane Peacock. My mother-in-law wore a radiant gold sari by Amit Aggarwal, while my mother resurrected her own bridal lehenga for the ceremony. We also wanted to make sure our wedding was planned and executed all by local experts so our team had some of the very best very best!
Vendor Reviews
Wedding Planning: KPW productions
Our wedding planner Christina was a dream to work with, and worked tirelessly to bring our vision to life in ways that went beyond what we imagined. No idea was too much, and no problem was too big. She's a truly talented wedding designer with elevated taste and a strong eye for detail.

It was such a pleasure to work with Julie and her team! They were extremely warm and friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed around them. They are also super professional, and we are absolutely in love with our photos and our beautifully crafted album.
Wedding Band: Starrock productions
We received an unbelievable number of compliments from the guests for our rockstar wedding band! Everyone was blown away, and several people reiterated that Empire Sound is the best wedding band they've ever heard. Every single person in this band is phenomenally talented, and special shout out to Jamie for her rendition of Shallow by Lady Gaga - people literally stopped eating their dinner midway to gather around and fully experience her incredible performance.
