We love a bride who doesn't fall for the tried and tested but tries out something new, and this bride we came across definitely did something different! Yep, Real Bride Chandni got married to her 'love at first sight' Dhiren, and the couple had a #DhiNChaK wedding, where she really wore some outfits we liked, and on probing further, we realised they were lesser-known designers who do some amazing work- and surprisingly, it was her brother who helped her pick each outfit! So here's a lowdown on each outfit at her Mumbai wedding, with designer deets of course! Photography by Israni Photography was on point!
Meet Chandni & Dhiren
So here is what Chandni wore for each outfit- every one different from the other!
Mehendi: Embroidered Emerald Green Asymmetric Kurta with Sharara by Jay Makhija, Bandra
Chandni says, "So my mehendi was followed by mata ki chowki so I had to pick an outfit which is traditional as well as modern. So I went to jay Makhija as I knew him since a long time. He also designed my Roka outfit. So all he did was sketched this outfit n I had no second thoughts. I just went for it! I wore a asymmetric kurta with sharara."
Sangeet: Embroidered Ice Blue Lehenga by Caipiroska
Chandni says, "For the Sangeet I chose an ice blue which looks more like a silver grey!! Always wanted to go towards that color! I wanted to keep it a little Indo-western. I wanted to wear a lehenga but not the traditional ones. I bumped into this designer “Caiprioska” on Instagram. I went to her store. I loved her collection so much that I bought my Sangeet & my reception out from her!! We customised both the outfits. Me being in the same industry of fashion. We did a lot of mix n match of colors, embroideries, cuts etc from what she had on the rack!"
Wedding: Embellished Red and Gold Lehenga by Siyaa
Chandni says, "I had gone to Kolkata for my jewellery shopping I came across this lehenga & honestly I loved it in my first look so I just bought it! It’s from a designer store Siyaa. They too customised according to my preferences. I always wanted to wear a red traditional lehenga so yeah I had no doubt about it!"
Reception: Embroidered & Embellished Nude Gown by Caipiroska
Chandni says, "I chose a taupe coloured gown because I wanted the rose gold embroidery to stand out on that! The designers Ruchita & Anchal from Caiprioska were very helpful & became like family during the wedding outfit journey! I thank my brother for all my outfits as he’s the one who helped me find all! Also I wana thank the Wedmegood app for giving me the best inspirations for my wedding! I’m never deleting the app... I still love browsing through all the pics and articles!"
