Pastel day weddings that exude a fresh, minimalistic vibe are all the rage these days- and here is another wedding which feels like a whiff of fresh air. Simran and Harsimar had their Anand Karaj in Canada on a pretty summer day, and we loved the elegant choices they made. The wedding took place on May 22, 2023. We went for a minimal and subtle/breathable vibe for a day Anand Karaj Ceremony in front of Niagara on the Lake. We didn’t want to match, but we wanted to compliment each other with our colours and details. Our vision was for us to stand our among our guests and family members, while keeping neutral and pastel colour palettes. Here are some tips I have for brides-to-be:

• Have an audio guestbook! You will always remember the messages your loved ones save for you all weekend and keep them with you wherever you go.
• Make your day about you; show hints of the bride & groom so everyone remembers how special it is.
• Simpler, the better; let your venue, nature, outfits do the talking - decor compliments you.

First piece tried and it stole my heart! The subtle hints of off whites and gold complimented my decor, jewellery and the grooms sherwani details. We aimed to compliment each other by having hints of pink in the grooms sherwani lining and turban. Anamika Khanna’s intricate designs are evergreen & regal to make a bride feel like a princess!

Bridal Jewellery: SR Jewellers, Karol Bagh 

Bold and Royal; I aimed to juxtapose the subtle lehengha with Bold Royal jewelry with hints of emerald green and gold Polki. The double layered necklace took it a step further to feel like a bride.
