The Ultimate Guide To A Bachelorette in Goa

BY The WMG Bride | 17 Oct, 2016 | 16299 views | 4 min read

Allright, he put a ring on it and the first thing you can think of is the last fling before the ring :p . As with most of us who cannot always plan a fancy pants bachelorette in some exotic Thai location, Goa is where our hearts lie.

Where to Stay

If bachelorette is what you are after, we are guessing you want to be out and about late in the night partying or hitting some popular shacks and so the crazy-ness that is North Goa is the answer to your prayers. If however you want a more relaxed, chilled out fancy hotel vibe  , then South Goa may float your boat.

Check out: Sonesta Villas are safe, affordable little inns  next to Candolim and can accomodate groups of 5-8 easily. We also love the posh Marbella Beach Resort in Morjim (stunning beach) . Also check out the Airbnb's mentioned here for some options.

Getting Around

This is the tricky part. Goa is woefully short of good transport options so local cabs (there is no Uber or Ola) with drivers are your only options. You can also rent a car or a scootie to drive yourself but given that you will be a little bit tipsy, we think renting a car with a driver may be a good idea

Check out Savaari Car Rentals as an option

The Arpora Night Market

If you are looking for some fun before hitting the clubs on the Saturday night, The Arpora Night Market happens every Saturday and it is FULL of quaint little treasures, white sundresses and all things boho. Add to that some seriously yum food and you are set . Hit it up with you and your girls for some serious shopping . Just a little tip (there is always a traffic jam outside so get dropped off a bit ahead and walk it)

Party It Up

You are in Goa for a reason and the reason is this.   While Love Passion Karma , Titos, Curlies, SinQ  and everything on the Baga Road is super popular with tourists from Delhi, we think you should not miss Club Cabana. Hidden in the hilltop , this 3 story club can rival any international club . The setting is insanely beautiful and you won't get a similar experience anywhere else.

Check out: LPK and Club Cabana

Food & Chilling

From butter garlic prawns to soft shelled crab and everything in between, Goa is incomplete without gastronomical delights but if you aren't careful you will be eating very average plates of food with bad service. Hence here are our reccomendations:

  • Thallasa in Vagator not only for the greek food but also for the stunning sunsets and chilling vibe this place has. You can sit for hours on end
  • Britto's in Baga . While its a very commercial shack and  is always packed , there is something about eating lemon butter crab in Brittos which is just customary.
  • La Plage in Ashwem Beach for fine dining, french food when you are in the mood for something more refined.
  • A Reverie in Calangute for Wasabi prawns and yum seafood.
  • Go With The Flow, another more upscale restaurant in Baga which is a must visit

High Rolling

One night at the Casino is but necessary in Goa and you will not regret the heavy entrance price because it comes with a lavish buffet on a ship and even though the house always wins, the house guests can have some fun while doing so. Check out all the Deltin Casinos in Goa with Deltin Royale being our top pick. Pride is another popular name to check out.

Water Babies

Banana Boat rides, Para sailing and Jet Ski's are the name of the game in Goa.

Check out: Calangute, Vagator and Baga for some serious Water Shenanigans.

The Beaches

While the night is spent partying it up , the daytime is spent on beaches soaking up the sun and watching the sunsets. While the beaches of Baga and Calangute can get REALLY crowded , in North Goa, check out Morjim for a beautiful beach. But if you REALLY want Instagram worthy , lovely beaches then South Goa is your answer. Benaulim,  Agonda and Hollant beach and some secluded beaches with little man made interference and just lovely water and sand.

Bachelorette Props and Paraphernalia

Its best to carry your sashes, your t shirts, your Bride-Tribe tattos and whatever else you want with you from your city. Goa is the best place to really locate and hunt for something.

Hire a Yacht

Yep, In Goa you can have your own catamaran cruise ship for a relatively affordable amount. Or, throw a yacht party and invite everyone fabulous in Goa.
Check out: Go yacht.com and Go Bananas India for your vessel of choice. Prices start at 10,000 for 1 hour.
