Bridal Breakdown: Kiara Advani In Manish Malhotra

There's no denying that Kiara Advani is gorgeous- she'd look beautiful in just about anything! But she perfected the contemporary bridal look at her wedding to Siddharth Malhotra. All her wedding looks were far from traditional, and embraced the modern Indian bride. There was an element of surprise in all her bridal ensembles- whether it was with the outfit itself or the jewellery. Here is a breakdown of all her bridal looks so far, right from the outfit, to the jewellery and the makeup and hair- so 2023 brides-to-be, get ready to start taking notes!

The Mehendi

Her mehendi look was gorgeous- she looked very elegant in ivory. Here's what stood out for us as far as Kiara's mehendi look goes.

The Outfit

Kiara wore a gorgeous ivory chikankari lehenga with gold embroidery by Manish Malhotra for her mehendi. A pop of yellow was added with the dupatta, which was just enough to brighten up the outfit and match the groom! We loved the blouse, which had pearl embroidered sleeves and a scalloped edge below the bust.

The Jewellery

Her necklace was an absolute showstopper! A polki choker with pastel beads paired with a longer haar, this one looked elegant yet stunning.

The Makeup & Hair

Kiara's makeup was a very barely-there natural look, which is what suits her so well! Nude eyes and lips, fluttery lashes, soft blush, almost no contour and of course, her statement bold brows- it was all very natural, and very pretty!

As far as the hairstyling goes, she had a loose messy braid for the mehendi, which was fuss-free and delicate.

 

The Wedding

Her wedding look breakdown had so many different elements that absolutely wowed us! 

The Outfit

While we still do not have a very clear image of her bridal lehenga yet, it was an ombre one in light pink, with dark borders. Manish Malhotra, the designer describes it as 'empress pink', and we are sure this will be a very trending shade among 2023 brides. The lehenga features intricate embroidery detailing of the roman architecture, inspired by the special love the newlyweds share for the city of domes. Real swarvoski crystals were used to embellish the lehenga for a gorgeous sparkle.

The Jewellery

Her jewellery was the showstopper of her bridal look- standing out in contrast against her light pink lehenga. Curated with rare emeralds and diamonds, we loved how she opted for studs instead of traditional earrings, lending her bridal ensemble a very modern look.

The Chooda and Kaleere

Apart from the beautiful emerald and diamond bangles, Kiara wore a dual-toned pastel chooda with pink and white and a diamond haathphool. Her kaleeras were personalised lovestory ones by Mrinalini Chandra, and had stars, the moon, the couple's initials and butterflies. She had a thoughtful dedication to a beloved pet, and fave travel destination- so had a lot of domes incorporated into the design.

The Makeup & Hair

Again, minimal bridal makeup is trending majorly, and Kiara Advani was another celebrity bride who embraced it. Fluttery lashes, subtle contour, nude lips, warm smokey eye- this was all it took to look gorgeous- very natural and beautiful.

Her bridal bun had florals to match the contrasting darker pink on her lehenga, which was a nice touch!

The Sangeet

Kiara brought all the glam out at her sangeet in a sparkly gold lehenga.

The Outfit 

For her Sangeet, Kiara embraced extravagant glamour in Manish Malhotra's artistic ombre lehenga, personalised and featuring meticulous handwork that took 4000 hours to craft. A striking gold to silver transition, 98000 sparkling swarovski crystals were paired with their haute couture stole with marabou feather detailing.

The Jewellery

This time around, it was her lehenga and not the jewellery that was the highlight of the look. She wore a modern diamond neckpiece with a gigantic ruby pendant, again from Manish Malhotra Jewellery.

The Makeup and Hair

Her hair and makeup for this event was pretty breezy. Her hair was left open for the event, wavy and loose. Barely there makeup, but dewy, highlit face, nude lips and brown smokey eyes finished the look.

 

The Reception

The reception look was very different than what we have seen on usual celebrity brides, and received quite a mixed reaction. But it was modern, edgy, and came with a gorgeous necklace!

The Outfit

Kiara wore a monochrome haute-couture sculptural gown by Manish Malhotra. The ebony- ivory construction in a velvet satin had sharp cuts in a wide sleek squared neck and power sleeves romanticised with a fish cut trail.

The Jewellery

While she did not opt to wear earrings, her necklace grabbed a lot of attention! The necklace for the western look was actually a combination of three layered necklaces- a magnificent choker, a layered diamond necklace and a long laureate necklace- all from Manish Malhotra Jewellery. And while there are similarities drawn between both her wedding and reception jewellery, sure doesn't take away from the fact that it was stunning!

The Makeup & Hair

To keep the look modern and contemporary, Kiara had a low slicked back bun with nude, natural makeup. Her eyes were the highlight with her statement brows and a soft smokey look and her killer cheekbones were brought out beautifully.
