When it comes to Insta-stalking, we may or may not be experts (just kidding, we rock at it!) And at WedMeGood, we especially like stalking the stunning feeds of bloggers, photographers and almost everybody who can give us couple-inspo!
That’s exactly what we did and found out about this truly magical place called Tulum in Mexico where fashion blogger and stylist Urmi Daga recently flew to for her honeymoon and boy, her trip was truly #VacationGoals!
Tulum is a small town along the Caribbean coastline of Mexico, mostly known for its beaches! We researched a little on the internet and let us tell you, if you’re looking to relax on dreamy white sands, sipping margaritas, as you look at the sun set over glistening blue seas, then here is an ideal place for you! Everything is so pretty, you’re going to want to Instagram every bit of it!
That’s what Urmi did too! (and we are thankful! *winks*)
What To Do In Tulum?
Urmi's trip to Tulum was a spontaneous trip! No, we aren't kidding! While the blogger's honeymoon was planned for Italy, due to last minute visa issues the couple had to redirect their trip to Mexico, and man, are we glad they did! In her blog, Urmi explains all that you can do in Tulum.
Stroll Around Town Like You Have Nothing To Care About
Well, isn’t that exactly how a holiday is supposed to be? We saw Urmi posing for pictures in the streets of Tulum like a diva. Aren't you just loving her breezy, summer style?
Swim In Gorgeous Looking Cenotes
As Urmi relaxed in these natural pools that looked like a scene out of a movie, her husband managed to click some pictures and let us be honest, we haven't been more thankful for anything else lately!
Groundwater pools. Natural swimming pools. Call them anything, but you can simply NOT miss diving into one! There are many cenotes in Tulum. Some of these are underground, while others offer incredible diving and snorkeling adventures. Now that sounds like a fun thing to do with your partner, doesn’t it!
Explore The Tulum Ruins
They’re Tulum’s most famous attraction - the ruins on tall cliffs overlooking the sea, dating back to the Mayan world. If you’re a history buff, don’t miss a stop! If you’re not, um… never mind! That's not us, it's what Urmi has to say! *winks*
Yoga Session In An Exotic Locale
Tulum is big into wellness. If your idea of the ultimate unwinding is relaxation, indulge in Tulum;s yoga classes, aqua yoga and body massage sessions!
FUN FACT : In Tulum, everybody rides the bikes all the time; it's a very eco-friendly place! How could we then miss Urmi riding one.
We also went through Urmi’s entire itinerary and thought maybe you would want to know where the blogger suggests you should eat!
- Casa Malca: This one's for all Narcos fans! It was rumored that back in the glory days, this spot was owned by the infamous Pablo Escobar. If you’re looking for vegetarian options, this may not be your thing.
- Matcha Mama: A sure-shot stop for your breakfast. You’re going to be spoiled for options here, and like Urmi says “This place is breakfast heaven.”
- I scream bar: Yes, it's exactly what you think it is. A super cool street BAR that serves vegan ice cream. A bar, that’s right!
- Ukami: Urmi is a self-proclaimed sushi fan and swears that this spot had some of the most mind-blowing options she has ever sampled!
QUICK UPDATE : While you will find access to Wi-Fi almost everywhere, you may experience mobile connectivity issues. Isn’t that exactly what you need- a little social media detox, some alone time with no disturbance! So if you are looking to spend some quality time with your partner, or planning to have a trip with your besties before the wedding, we suggest this quaint little city of Tulum!
While Tulum seems like a pretty place, can we also take a moment to admire Urmi's effortless look throughout the trip! Here's some vacation inspiration for you!
Tulum ticks a lot of the right boxes off our list for an ideal holiday spot. And judging from Urmi’s pictures, there’s something to see in every nook and corner of the city. Need we say more?
