Meet Khushboo & Dhairya
Since we did not do a customary 'how they met' earlier, here goes. They both studied at SP Jain together , she was one batch junior and his first interaction with her was when she was interviewing to be part of a committee that he was a part of (Umm needless to say she got selected ;) ). How they started talking however was when she noticed that while the other seniors were giving one particular junior a hard time for some mistake he had made, Dhairya was the only one who went up to him and told him to relax and that it was okay. "That was a very decent thing to do" , Khushboo wrote to Dhairya on Facebook and the rest as they say is history. (Now that is a pickup line I never thought would work!) Dhairyas a gujju from Mumbai, Khushis a sindhi from Hyderabad and this is their wedding reception.
The reception was THE most looked forward to event at Khushi's wedding, because it was sort of a sangeet cum reception cum party combined into one gigantic affair. Dance practices had started ages back, and the Boys side vs Girls side dance face off was super looked forward to.
The boys side opened with "Shubh Aarambh" where it was sort of a nice, sweet welcome song for everyone. The girls side opened with...
G-U-J-J-U ! From Kal Ho Na Ho! (You know this song?). Thats us on stage saying :
One-two three
What a community..Shah Patel Mehta They wear the best jewellery...
But who are we???
G-U-J-J-U !!!!
The bride danced to Sai bo!
How pretty does she look, Once again Tamanna did an absolutely phenomenal job with the makeup with dark smokey eyes and pale lips. Can you tell that this girl also woke up at 7 :00 am to attend her wedding feras? Dhairya looked quite the groom himself in his tailored velvet bandhgala!
Me and the boy (Wed Me Good Co-founders) danced to Radha & Dilli Wali Girlfriend! I had spoken about my black jacket with the mint skirt which I had bought for this occasion. Overall, it turned out quite pretty but the color of mint was kind of wrong... I wanted it to be like pale mint like in the picture above, but in real life it was closer to sea green! My fault though- i had picked it from the shade chart!
That is us, shamelessly posing even though its not our wedding! Lets give a bit of attention to the boys. He looks pretty dapper too! (Though refused to wear a mint hankerchief to match me !).
Thats our side of the family ! I still dont have all the pictures yet !
I think what I will remember from the reception is the food (Hyderabad food in general is amazing, but the guys at Liberty Catering always do a FAB job!! ) , the performances , the unexpected chill at night while we sipped warm cups of tea and the fact that the brides outfit had a minor wardrobe malfunction (thankfully before she reached the venue). The zipper broke, and the anarkali lehenga had to be sown on to her body !!!
