Let's face it - planning a bridal shower can be quite the task, right?! And on top of it all, you're so sick of the same old cupcakes and regular snacks and dips. So here's a few out of the ordinary things to serve up at your bridal shower - fuss and stress free!
Strawberry & Cream Bites
These babies are so simple to do and yet a sure hit at any bridal shower. Just slice up some strawberries/scoop out their insides and add your own flavoured cream. This could be anything from fresh cream, mascarpone, nutella cream, topped with some almonds or crushed biscuits for crunch. YUM.
Chicken & Waffle Sliders
This southern american treat makes for one yummy appetizer - specially when bite-sized! Simply fry up small pieces of chicken, either slice up a large waffle into smaller bits or make your own mini ones, join together with a toothpick and drizzle with maple syrup just before serving. Alternatively you could have the maple syrup as sauce on the side for dipping!
Drunken Popsicles
What's better than a chilled sangria on a hot afternoon? A sangria popsicle of course! Once again, super easy to make. All you need are popsicle moulds (try to get some pretty shaped ones) and your sangria. Freeze and serve. You could make popsicles out of any of your favourite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages which include pina coladas, watermelon margaritas and anything else fruity!
Stuffed Mushrooms
These are not only super tasty but also a perfectly eloquent savoury dish to have at a bridal shower. Stuff these with absolutely anything ranging from tandoori braised potatoes, prawns, your choice of meat, spices and top with lotsa cheese. Pretty garnishes of chives or parsley along with a sprinkle of olive oil would add the perfect finishing touch!
Katori Chaat/ Chaat Bowls
Who doesn't love a good helping of chaat, right?! These are the perfect little snacks that have everything you love about chaat in one little edible bowl. AND you can make the crispy outer bowls baked or fried. And once they are ready, all you have to do is fill em up with all your fave chaat essentials. Garnish with some sev or a few beads of pomegranate!
No Bake Mini Cheesecakes
Make these in mini jars or shot glasses (mason jars are super adorbs) and they make for the cutest desserts ever. Super easy to make, no baking hassle and there are a ton of flavours to play with, ranging from funfetti to creamy coconut to PB&J - whatever you love most!
Mac & Cheese Appetizers
These small golden nuggets of cheese and macaroni are seriously the most simple things to make but SO YUMMY. You can serve them in small cupcake wrappers, fry them, make crumbed balls out of them or put them in tiny bowls. If you wanna give them that added kick - spice them up, add some chopped bacon, corn kernels or veggies of your choice.
Voila! Hope these delish goodies help take you from ordinary to extraordinary at your bridal shower ;)
