From The Bride:
The wedding took place on June 3, 2023. The theme of my wedding was Happily Ever After. I wanted it to be very whimsical, pastel and fresh. We decided to go with an open mandap even though it was indoors to get as much natural light as we could.
Vendor Reviews
Venue: St Regis Hotel
We went with Manhattan at the St Regis. In fact we even had our Mehendi ceremony there. It's the ideal location for an indoor ceremony if you want lots of natural sunlight . It's beautifully done up and looks like a grand living room so it makes you feel like youre getting married in your own home with a hint of luxury.
Makeup Artist: Tanvi Chemburkar
She's a dream artist any brides wants to work with. I had the honor of having her do my make up. She is so lovely, so helpful and goes above and beyond. I gave her complete freedom to do my make up and let her creativity take the call. And she created magic. What I love is how natural and simple yet elegant she keeps the looks. I wanted to look like myself which she ensured I did!
Photographer: Epic Stories
These guys were fabulous. They really understood my vibe and went above and beyond for me. Their pictures are fabulous but their storytelling is even better. I'm so glad I went with them. They really take the pains to understand the couple, who they are and how to make their big day special. We had them right from our proposal to our Graha Pravesh and they’ve captured each moment so beautifully. They are worth every penny!
Decor: D Karmali Decor
We were so happy with the decor done at our engagement ceremony that we had to go with them for our wedding. They instantly got the brief right and their finesse is outstanding. They keep it classy, and fresh. Sometimes people tend to overdo it for their weddings but I just loved their vibe.
Bridal Outfits:
Wedding : Tarun Tahiliani - This was my dream outfit that I had been eyeing for almost a year. It was exactly what I envisioned myself to wear on my big day. The ombre, the net sleeves, the cut work veil - it was all so beautifully made.
Mehendi - Aum : This was something I found at Bridal Asia. It was the perfect rani pink patch work lehenga with a halter neck blouse. Funnily enough, the blouse wasn't meant to be with the outfit but that's the beauty of Aum, you could mix and match almost anything and she will blend it for you. so happy with this purchase!
Haldi - I went with a bright blue saree with sunflowers to merge with my theme of yellow. I didn't want to wear that typical yellow for my haldi. Infact I made all my guests wear yellow and me and my husband wore this blue set from Torani. Really loved their work and it's something I made sure to dry clean because I plan to wear it after.
Engagement - Ritika Mirchandani- I went with a red cape and pant suit . Again this was something I saw at bridal asia. It was so bridal and beautiful and it had pants!
Bengali Wedding : Sabyasachi - I wore my sister's wedding lehenga. It was this beautiful sindoor red with threadwork embroidery. You can truly call this "vintage" because they dont make pieces like this anymore.
Bridal Jewellery:
Wedding - Maya Sanghavi Jewels
I wanted to wear a piece that blended with my outfit rather than stand out. This set was so grand and beautiful . The combination of Polki and diamonds can never go wrong.
Engagement : Diamantina
I took a 3 layered polki set and paired it with my Red pant suit.
Mehendi : I bought hath phools and kaan chain from the olio stories. So young and trendy.
Haldi - Bought the kaan chain from Amama.
Mehendi Artist: Bridal Mehendi Queen
She's a gem to work with. She understood my vibe of wanting something simplistic and delivered.
DJ:
Special shout out to DJ Ganesh and DJ Zal. They played at our Sangeet and Engagement respectively and made the night unforgettable.
