Now that sounds like a good description of the both of them. And as destiny would have it - here is their love story. "I met Shreyas one day before flying to New York for a casual meet-up. I was planning to settle in NYC but came back to Mumbai. Bored and looking for some adventure I thought of adding Shreyas Sharma on FB who I met for a brief period of 10 seconds around two months ago. Very attractive & charming - he was sporting a boy-band haircut. We met and immediately friend-zoned each other. Drunken afternoons, sharing stories, random ‘strictly-friendly’ dates, long telephonic conversations and traveling cities to catch up for music festivals changed the dynamics of our ‘friendship’ and till date, we both are unaware of when we started dating. Ours is a four-year, ARDOUS journey of changing perceptions and preconceived notions on the backbone of solid love and SUPER FUN times we have had with each other. This wouldn’t have been possible had we not shared the ease and comfort of being best friends first," explains Vaidehi. The Mehendi
From The Bride: " When we sat down to design the wedding we were very clear about where to spend the money. We did not go very heavy on the decor instead we wanted to invest in things that really mattered to us. Shreyas and I are both music lovers so we created the feel of a mini music festival. We invited various artists to perform at our wedding. Each event was planned based on the feel we wanted to create. The Mehendi saw Artist Maati Bani, Nirali and Karthik who were amazing and there wasn't a single person who was seated - everyone was dancing to their tunes. The Sangeet aka Sufi Night at Jaigarh Fort was a beautiful affair. We had Kalbeliyas, Sufi dancers, Bharat Natyam, Kathak and Ghoomar performances as opening acts before Kailash Kher. Kailash Kher took the night to another level with his mesmerising voice and ambience of the place just made it surreal. Just when we thought the party was over after his performance, DJ Swap (Swapnil- Resident DJ at Trilogy, Mumbai) was killing it with house music in a different section of the fort. It was unbelievable that we could be attending a crazy EDM party in a fort like Jaigarh. For the pheras, we invited Zuber Shaikh who regularly performs at JW Marriot Juhu, Mumbai to perform a Raag-based set. It was a band comprising of a Sitarist, Tabla player and Flute artist. They made the entire ceremony magical by creating the perfect harmony between the chanting and the classical music. And for the Wedding Reception which was a floating one with no formal stage, we invited Nucleya to perform as a surprise artist. After his act DJ Swap killed it again till 7 am with his music," explains Vaidehi. As far as the decor was concerned, we had 6 functions and wanted to keep the look and feel of each one different and fresh. Alok (our decorator) was as excited as us when we sat down to work on decor. He is highly creative and came up with some brilliant ideas. We were awestruck every time we entered the venue. Mr. Manjeet from Ajmer Tent made sure to deliver fresh and new fabrics and props. Other things that really helped me was that - I got done with my Mehendi in 2 hours time. Such a relief. I was free to enjoy my functions. I have heard about Brides who sit for 4-6 hours, so I got lucky with my mehendiwala. When it came to outfits - there were two things I was very clear about: 1. I wore sneakers with my lehenga instead of stilettos because I wanted to enjoy all the dancing 2. I wore a saree instead of a lehenga for pheras. And my make-up - I'm not a makeup person so she kept my looks natural all the time. I got done with my hair and makeup within an hour, which was the best part and my make-up artist was calm and made sure I was happy," added Vaidehi.
