The bride, being an MUA did her makeup herself, and we love how almost every outfit the couple wore was customised with some meaning behind it. Meet Gouri and Arjun

The night of my 22nd birthday, I went out to party with my friends, little did I know that life was about to take some amazing turns that night. Arjun crashed my birthday with one of our mutual friends (one of the wisest decisions he’s made in his life ?). The night went on and I don’t remember much of it, but here’s a transcript from his journal that he shared with me on our wedding night. “It’s been a while since I wrote something other than work related, but it’s probably going to be worth it. I crashed a birthday party today, knowing me it’s not much of a surprise but what happened next is fairly unusual; I met a girl, a very different from the world kinda girl, a more me than me kinda girl, we didn't speak much except for when I was about to leave she asked me very politely not to, strange as we hadn’t spoken a word but it was her party so maybe she was just being polite, but it felt to me as if someone my own was calling. I told her I had to be up at 8:00 am and it’s 4:00 am already so there’s not much scope here as work is a priority to which she said she has work at 6:00. I totally don’t believe it, if she makes it to work though, she’d probably be the one we have spoken about before but never put a picture to. I did tell her though she looked amazing in the spandex dress :; here’s hoping for the best - AG”
Well, I did go to work as I had a makeup client waiting, after that he slid into my dm’s and thanks to the world of memes, we started talking. We met days after days until one day we met at another club but had come with our own group of friends, he pulled me aside from the group and said, he’d really like it if we go together everywhere, and somewhere inside i was hoping he’d say that. From then until now, every moment has been magical.

From The Bride:

We got married on the 13th of December 2021. The wedding was a private affair as we really wanted to understand the deep meaning of each and every ritual and not just spend time greeting people. It happened at my farm house in Delhi, the food although was paid super special attention to as my brother is somewhat of a masterchef himself.

Our wedding was at a private farm, which was decked up beautifully by our planner. As I am a makeup artist, I did my makeup myself. It was a strong heart-felt decision and I felt like I had to do it myself so I did.

A big big shoutout to Lenseyezia for not only capturing the purest moments of our lives but also giving us the space and time to live it as it happened, which we found was actually quite rate to have with photographers. Bridal Outfits

Haldi and Mehndi outfits were designed by my mother, wedding lehenga was from Aashni and Co. Each of the outfits were very special to me in their own ways.

Groomwear

He designed his own outfit and made it in his factory as one of his businesses is textile. It had shlokas hand embroidered over it and also said Arjun Gouri in hindi.

Mehendi Artist

Mehndi was done by Manu Kapoor and I couldn't have imagined a better one. The scriptures, the imagery and the execution was very smooth and beautiful.

Entertainment
