If you have been around for a while, you would know that stalking Sonam Kapoors Indian wear style on Instagram is our second favourite past time. (Our first favourite is ofcourse browsing wedding photos and content!). While this time she wasn't attending a wedding but promoting her upcoming film Dolly ki Doli (everyone who loves Bollywood wedding movies raise your hands ) , she had some of the most chic, stunning lehenga looks for each event
The first look we loved- this exquisite threadwork Shantanu and Nikhil lehenga with a crop top blouse and the long, floor length sleeve.
Wear it on your wedding day: Get a full sleeved blouse with the same high neckline and layer strings of pearls and kundan over it. A large mathapatti and a gold / cream veil on your head or even a red would do!
Look number two was fun, flirty and fabulous in an Arpita Mehta creation
Wear it on your sangeet: The way Sonam has worn it is perfect for your sangeet, however you may want to change the dupatta drape so you can have your hands free for dancing. Or eating- the only two things you are supposed to do at an Indian wedding apart from consuming copious amounts of alcohol
This stunner by Rohit Bal took our breath way. It almost looks like a Kanjivaram silk lehenga, or maybe its brocade but that gold print on the lehenga skirt is to die for. The mathapatti is from Amrapali
Wear it on your wedding: Keep the skirt as is- its so classic, chic and minimal. Get a heavy dupatta in georgette with embroidered gold border and splattered bootis across. Keep the blouse long, maybe midriff length to get a more 'begum' look and style with a jhoomer or the same mathapatii.
For the promo posters, Sonam is wearing a cobalt blue Anita Dongre lehenga .
Wear it on your sangeet: We love the lehenga as is, but the high neckline with embroidery may cause some jewellery problems. Get a scoop neck with shorter sleeves for this one maybe,
